How many of you got online today and interacted in a cybernetic way in some form or another, either by browsing the world-wide-web, checking email, chatting live with others on a chat program, or corresponding with others on an internet social network, like Myspace? If you did, then you were partaking of the awakening noosphere, the thought envelope surrounding the planet that is now coming to fruition.  Transpersonal psychologists have known since CG Jung that individual man partakes of and gives back to a collective unconscious, a global, shared field of mind full of archetypes that impel us into certain behaviors and involve particular thought forms.  An interface is now forming between this morphogenetic thought field, this collective unconscious, and the now burgeoning cyber-technological, globe-girding internet.

Many philosophers, including myself, promulgate the notion that the internet is the hardwiring for the now forming noosphere. The concept of the noosphere was an idea put forth by the French, Jesuit Priest and Paleontologist, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.  The supposition that Teilhard put forth was the novel insight that the biosphere of our planet, the complete kingdom of nature in the air, in the oceans, and on the land surrounding our Earth, will soon extrude a global layer of synced and connected thought, the Noosphere.  Upon crystallization of the noosphere, a field of global telepathic connectivity will have formed, and the Omega Point will dawn, ushering in a new paradigm and lifting man to a new level of transcendence.  Teilhard had his sentiment of networked thought in the noosphere nearly fifty years before the internet came into being, and he came to his assumptions after studying Darwinian evolution and the course of biology.

If one thinks of each human as comprising one cell within the planetary brain, then the realization soon follows that we have now reached a new level in the transfer of information between those cells.  It is now common for a person during one day to be interacting online with several people throughout the world.  I may be a bit of a technophile, but in one day I can converse with five or six people at various parts of the globe: my business contacts in China, my friend in Australia, her friend in London, my Sister in Texas, and my various friends from the east coast to the west coast, not to mention interacting on various topical forums with many people in my various areas of research.  It is obvious that the interrelation of the cells of this global brain has intensified its interconnectivity and ramifications, and the flow of information now reaches passed nations and time zones; information is becoming holographic. It use to be that the other side of the earth always felt asleep to our daytime, but now the entire globe is present in the moment through the interaction taking place on the internet.

The global morphogenetic thought fields of humanity have been called many names: the collective unconscious, the genetic archives, the akashic records, and the phylogenetic unconscious.  Now these fields and their interaction with the human mind have reached a new level of operability with the advent of the internet. Another way of saying that the internet is the hardwiring of the noosphere is that between the biosphere, nature, and the crystallizing noosphere, global telepathic thought, is a layer of machination formed by elements of the biosphere, us;  this intermediary phase is called the Technosphere with its complex machines coming together and interjecting themselves within our lives, catalyzing a new way of functioning for humans in relation with each other and in relation to the collective unconscious.

From this global noosphere, the Omega Point will dawn, a singular moment where we will transform into the next stage and become unrecognizable to ourselves, a transcendence beyond anything ever imagined.  Many claim that a rapture is coming.  Indeed, a rapture is coming, but I feel it is beyond anything they have ever imagined... a rapture of your mind and being into the totality of the transcendental, a merging of the microcosmic man with the macrocosmic immensity...a union of man with God!  There is no fear and punishment in this eventuality, as they claim; it is the long sought after harmony that our soul thirsts for.

The fact that we are fast approaching a Technological Singularity is evidence we are moving into the Omega Point and the noosphere is forming.  Now our creations will take on a mind of their own, solving age old dilemmas and problems in an instant. It is the pinnacle of our evolution coming into awareness, where we leap from the animal body and enter the higher dimensional manifold that is awaiting us, a place of benevolent consciousness and beings of light that have been beckoning to us for millennia!  It is now time to lift up our heads and prepare ourselves to meet our maker and walk through the gates of a paradisiacal Utopia.  No, this is not naiveté that stipulates such preposterous concepts; these are sound proclamations based upon my and other's gnosis.

2012, Doomsday & The Omega Point

It must be stated at the outset of this article that the expectation in 2012 of any singular event could very well lead to complete disappointment. None of us know for certain what will happen in the years to come, especially the specific date of 12-21-2012, as the future is yet to occur. I try to approach this great mystery of 2012 with an open yet discriminating mind, open to possible scenarios yet discriminating and requiring evidence. That being said, it is obvious that right now is a time of radical transformation, and society is subconsciously gearing up for a "Shift of the Ages," a moment when the Zeitgeist, the spirit of our time, shifts to a higher pattern. Many are coming forward to proclaim "The End of the World," and they point to the Maya themselves as stating the end is coming. But the fact remains that the Maya encoded the ending of one 13baktun calendar cycle and a new beginning, what they called "Creation Day." This is not the "End of the World" being solicited in the main stream media, a guarantee that doom, tumultuous changes, and a turmoil ridden future lies ahead; they are using the tried and true application of fear to make money, and it is very reasonable that this fear is in place, for events could be very dire, yet we have to approach this moment in history with the poise and watchfulness of the spiritual warrior.

Although mankind has traversed the evolutionary gap between the savage rain forest and the modern civilized city, it now sits in a very alarming situation; it now faces a bifurcation point in the evolutionary path it has trod thus far. This unavoidable fork in the road will lead us either down the path of destruction and decimation, or we will be impelled down the evolutionary channels toward enlightenment and liberation, freeing ourselves from the entropic grip of materiality and the thralldom of our everyday world. This is a very novel predicament for humanity, one it has never seen before, a moment a planet brings forth only once in its' lifetime. This razor's edge that we are teetering on is fast becoming a slippery slope, and the global operational systems are careening out of control. On the one hand, we have reached a monumental moment in which all indicators point to the fact that we are approaching a quantum leap in our evolutionary trek, a rapturous instant in which our species' evolution shifts to a higher, unimaginable level of functionality; however, on the other hand, the global situation looks very grim, and certain actualities could create a situation where our existential being is subjected to harsh realities, realities that are the consequence of what we started long ago in history. This situation is building up more and more pressure and is working its' way toward a breaking point. Because of humanity's selfish and disharmonious behavior, we have created a situation that looks fairly dire and dreadful for our species, yet the contradictory is also true; never before has the human race been so perfectly poised so as to initiate a whole series of evolutionary steps that could precede a Utopian civilization.

Mankind has never found himself at a crossroads of such magnitude, a bifurcation point that will change the course of history. Nevertheless, that is no excuse for a botched job in the grave matter at hand; it is crucial to our survival that we get it right! That sounds like a paramount amount of pressure and will require an impeccable discipline; indeed, this is intense pressure, and this rite of passage requires utilizing a higher more disciplined order for quelling the more primitive behaviors that will only guarantee our demise. An immense amount of cooperation and compassion is required to get us passed the inhospitable situation before us. It is vital that we quickly get a clue and start doing what we know we need to do, yesterday and not tomorrow, before our tenuous grip on reality quickly slips away, and we tumble erroneously down the path of failed attempts. No, this will not do! If we really want to make it through this perilous passageway in the hallway of history, then we need to quickly wake up, come to our senses, and merge our scientific world view and knowhow with a true ecumenical spiritual paradigm founded upon ethics, thereby placing well meaning attention and focus on the problems at hand. A merging of these two worlds could help create the impetus for us to form a true global community where the "Good of the All" is sought out for the "Good of the All" by all our individual talents.

Modern man throughout the twentieth century was coming to terms with his theological and scientific paradigms, and in the last decade of that century s/he saw an intensification of the integration of these two worlds; the true philosopher's stone, the stone of the wise, was condensing from the merging of these two paradigmatic systems. This new paradigm of thought was synthesized in a dialectical process where the thesis and antithesis were merged, the worlds of theology and science, and it is now informing the morphogenetic fields that rule social behavior all over our planet. These fields order our behavior through the process of morphic resonance, whereby our thoughts and emotions are in sync with the planetary mind, and our mind then follows suit. These global morphogenetic fields of humanity have been called many names: the collective unconscious, the genetic archives, the akashic records, and the phylogenetic unconscious. At any rate, this morphogenetic field that humanity resonates with is a sphere of thought surrounding the planet, and the synergistic tendencies of the information couplings within those fields are gearing up for and catalyzing a transformational shift to a whole new order of being. In the notions of the French priest and paleontologist, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, the biosphere, nature, will give rise to and exude the noosphere, a global layer of thought, the informational synergy of which will actualize the Omega Point into being. This will usher in a new paradigm, a transcendence for all of humanity. It is interesting to note that Teilhard came to his realizations long before the global network of the Internet; therefore, many philosophers consider the internet to be the hardwiring of the noosphere.

The unrelenting questions of what will happen consistently assail the mind. Will we make it through the turmoil to see ourselves basking in the sunlight of enlightenment? Or will we destroy ourselves in some apparent need for defense or through retaliation? Will the Biosphere continue supporting our species when it is being decimated daily? Will we experience some major geological changes as a consequence of our relationship with the sun? Will our technology birth the next level of our evolution? Will the Gaian Mind, which appears to be the source of crop circles, bring us a further revelation of our place in the cosmos? Can a multitude of these events occur? This intense inquisitiveness will not be abated within me, and sadly, I'm afraid that the answers that have presented themselves are both appealing and disturbing, creating further vexing enigmas. So, what we are facing is manifold and many-sided; one singular event does not take the whole happening into consideration. Does this time of devastation and/or enlightenment have anything to do with 2012 as many have foretold?

What we are facing is both good and bad, in my opinion; one model of our future does not contain the entirety of that happenstance. It is multifaceted and diverse, but our mammalian brain seeks to create black and white scenarios out of the mysteries before us, seeking to simplify the unknown and fearful into nice little models of what we are moving into. But there is no way that what we are facing could be all black or all white; it is indeed both. The concrescence of novelty, the eschaton, will be an infinitely novel situation and contain both the good and the bad! As the universe becomes more complex and ramified, as more novelty accrues, then we can expect the intensity of those novel forms and events to increase; the novelty of both the black and the white will intensify in its' influence upon our lives. Therefore, it is understandable that the most horrid will occur alongside of the most divine in our shared, global future.

So, what kind of things could we be facing in 2012 or beyond? What are the tenable possibilities on our global horizon? Let's first look at the negative occurrences facing our global civilization, and then we will discuss the positive effects which also appear to be breaking through into our society. These doom ridden scenarios are things that, if they were to occur, would affect our global future and life as we know it in a radical way. These possibilities are things we definitely need to be considering as we move ahead.

Humanity is in a very precarious situation; never before have so many mounting crisis points been converging together. I'm no doomsayer, but if you remove yourself from the group mind with its aversion to the facts at hand, and you take a good look at what is about to transpire, then you can't help but be white-knuckled and fearful of the future.  But this fear is not at all what we need, if reality is truly affected by our minds as scientific studies are beginning to bear out. The following situations "Could" transpire in the years to decades ahead; they are not necessarily slated to occur in 2012!

The increased complexity and convoluted nature of our global civilization has made the threat of a pandemic a much more conceivable situation. A virus could be transferred to many areas of the world through our transportation grid in a very short period of time, and an all out pandemic could be actualized in a matter of weeks. When asked about a near future, foreseeable pandemic, doctors say it's a matter of "when" not "if" one breaks out. In the last 30 years we saw the introduction of many new biological threats: AIDS, SARS, West Nile, and now the Avian Flu, and these are threats that we must take seriously. When will this speculative disaster occur? It is uncertain, but scientists are very concerned about the possibility of a major unstoppable pandemic in the near future.

A pandemic is just one possibility on the shelf of global, future threats. In addition, we have the Geo-Political environment, a motley crew of a makeup with each component striving for dominance on the world stage.  It is one thing to agree to disagree with the other parties in the global arena; however, we now have radical terrorists, self proclaimed servants of God, who believe it is their God given duty to kill all those that will not convert to their way of thinking.  It is hard to deal with these people in a rational manner, as their behavior elicits the very primitive instinct of seeking their utter destruction. In addition, we now have the proliferation of nuclear weapons, and they are now in the hands of some very fanatical and tyrannical leaders. It is easy to foresee and imagine that if the terrorists ignited a nuclear bomb in one of our cities due to their ideological insanity, then the civilized world could very easily retaliate, thereby sparking a nuclear tit-for-tat of all the countries involved. This is a very real possibility and something that MUST be avoided at all costs.  Does that mean we should not retaliate if we were ever to be attacked with a nuclear bomb?  Well, I am a warrior, and anyone trying to kill me, my family, my friends, or any of the citizens of my country should be very aware that there are many of us who will stand up and seek to destroy them utterly. But that being said, we need to be exceedingly careful not to spark a nuclear catastrophe, if that were to ever happen. Therefore, our retaliatory nature could pose a big problem as we move ahead, as we now live in a world where radical mentalities and terrorism exist. 

Our global society is also facing major economic collapse as we move forward into subsequent periods of time.  Our economic markets are so reliant on what occurs globally now, and the countries of the world have created such a deficit that some financial specialists say what we are facing is insurmountable; we are operating on borrowed time, and a huge spiral into economic collapse looks like an extremely conceivable scenario.

If those realistic threats weren't bad enough, the biosphere is being destroyed in so many aspects that it is barely possible to imagine. Researchers believe that the biosphere may become completely uninhabitable in just a couple centuries. The facts of man's destruction of the habitat that brought him forth are truly appalling and ghastly. We are decimating the rain forest by miles daily, the main source of the oxygen we breathe. Climate is changing as both the jet stream in the atmosphere and the gulf stream in the Atlantic are shifting. Our oceans are dying from pollution and over fishing, and many species are being wiped into extinction.  Is this insanity? What are we doing to ourselves? The planet was never intended to support life for 6.5 billion people, and that population is only increasing daily. The facts of the matter make one wince when looking at all the details, creating a nauseating feeling in the pit of the stomach. The melting of the ice caps is occurring from a multitude of sources that are causing Global Warming. It is not just our fuel use causing global warming; it also has to do with natural cycles that revolve around the earth-sun connection.  The melted ice will cause the sea levels to rise, obliterating the coastline and inundating us with water.  This biosphere issue is definitely not something that will cause a global catastrophe in 2012, but it is an indication of where we find ourselves and the nature of our shared predicament.  The operative word is "Shared," and we need to realize that all of us on the planet are in this boat together, and it has now begun to traverse the rapids and dangerous currents ahead. 

Additionally, we have the sun-earth connection to be concerned about.  The Sun's Coronal magnetic flux has increased 100% in the last century.  Global Warming is partly caused by man and is also caused by the earth's relationship with the sun, and scientists say the sun has steadily become more active in the past several hundred years.  It must be understood that when a Solar Flare or Coronal Mass Ejection occurs a wave of energy moves out in all directions, and when it impinges with a planet's magnetic field, the field contorts in reaction.  This contortion shifts the Jet Stream creating climate change, and it also puts stress on the system of plate tectonics, causing an increased number of earthquakes and volcanoes.  The last sunspot cycle ended with the two largest flares on record and the next major cycle is scheduled for 2012. 

Now that we have discussed some of the sobering bad news about our future, and because I like to be the optimist even in the most drastic and horrid of situations, I think it is essential to relay the whole picture. Yes, things look very dire, but they also look most promising.  Strides in science, medicine, government and technology are making major advances in ridding our species of the undesired effects of bad health, famine, poverty, or lack of any name.  So, like I said, what we are moving into is both wonderful and horrid.  It is a double-edged sword!

Science is making great progress, and a G.U.T., A Grand Unified Theory or a T.O.E., a Theory Of Everything, is within the grasp of humanity, giving us a true understanding of Space-Time and harnessing that understanding for benevolent and beneficial technologies, which we will use to find solutions to our present predicaments. A quantum leap in our evolution is apparently directly in front of us, if you consider the exponential explosion of technology.  A technological singularity is going to occur; it cannot be avoided.  Only one of the previously mentioned catastrophes could remove us from the course with the Technological Singularity. This Singularity will bring us technologies that will give us immense longevity and possible immortality!  That was a fairly welcome surprise as we entered a new millennium, discovering we were facing this event. The exponential explosion of technology will remove many of the problems we have dealt with for thousands of years. For instance, nanotechnology will be used to control cholesterol and plaque within our arteries, thereby alleviating one of the major causes of death.  The A.I. mind will know all our problems, and it will use intelligence a million times greater than man to find solutions and implement them in the moment.

Researchers are learning how much our mind is inextricably linked to the physical reality surrounding us, and with the advent of nanotechnology we will be able to create materially whatever we are visualizing mentally. Our science and spirituality are also no longer exclusive to each other, and the age old conflicts between the facts of science and our theological perspectives are dissolving and fading away.    Our scientific investigations are showing us that the quantum vacuum, the zero-point-field, contains the informational blueprint for the way our reality forms itself.  It is the reservoir for every occurrence that has ever happened in previous universes, universes that are iterations of the one multiverse; The zero-point-field is a non-local vacuum containing zero matter or energy but immense information that our universe uses as a guide to shape itself. This zero-point-field can be considered the mind of God, and now even most atheistic scientists realize that there is a higher dimensional information template from which our universe is formed.  Also, our world's religions are beginning to loosen the constricting belt of literalism, and they are seeing the truths of both science and other faiths; a convergence between disparities is taking place, and integration is occurring on many levels.

So, we live in a time full of radical changes of both a qualitatively good and bad nature.  The ancient seers knew that this exact period in time represented a period of catastrophic changes preceding a golden age.  Most cultural traditions have some intimation of the times we are living in, whether it is Hindu, Hopi, Mayan, or many, many others, and they are all in basic agreement that a great purging, a cataclysmic time of change, will precede a golden age of enlightenment.  The Mayans encoded 12-21-2012 into their calendrical system, and they pointed to that day for some reason.  Hundreds of years later in the 1970s a hippie botanist, Terence McKenna, had a vision under the influence of Shamanic Power Plants, and he saw how to distill a timewave from the Ken Wa sequence of the I-Ching.  This Timewave mapped the ingression of novelty into the universe, an organizing principle of ever increasing complexity upon which all of our reality is ordered. At any rate, he saw on the timewave that this nature of novelty hits a moment of infinite novelty, what is called the concrescence of novelty, at the same exact time that the Mayan Calendar cycle ends, December 21, 2012!  So, this date has given itself over to the minds of a culture of people over a thousand years ago and then to a hippie botanist in the 1970s, a very strange synchronicity indeed!  Then along comes Ervin Laszlo in 2006 stipulating that Chaos and Complexity Theory has shown how a huge bifurcation point in humanity's evolutionary trek occurs in late 2012.  At the fork in the road, we either go the route of self destruction or the high road of enlightenment and liberation.  Noting that Terence derived his timewave from the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching, and also noting the congruency of those 64 Hexagrams with the 64 codons of DNA, the 64 bit structure of computer code, and the central 64 squares of  a Tzolkin grid of the Mayan Calendar, then it can be surmised that a universal organizing principle is being perceived.

No one knows what will happen on December 21, 2012.  Will it be Doomsday or the Omega Point, or both, or neither?  One thing is for certain; now is a time of radical change, and both problems and innovations are creating a novel situation for a planet of 6.5 billion people.  The biosphere is more decimated than it ever has been. The Sun more is active than in recent time and may cause some major geological changes.  Our Technology has moved deep into exponential growth and is about to birth a singularity.  Whatever happens, I am sure it will be a ride we will never forget!

The number 23 has some very curious properties, properties that cause one step back and say, "hmmm...isn't that strange," thereby giving a glimpse into the synchronized structure of time and materiality.  The temporal anomaly of this synchronistic 23 has been the subject of several notable authors, and it has undoubtedly shown its' realistic nature in my life going back to when I was 23.  The questions that remains in my mind is...does this number have any real significance, or is it that reality is so malleable that it is aligning itself to my and a group of people's beliefs, much like the Law of Attraction of "The Secret" espouses?  As you will see this number is an immense synchronicity in my own life, and it has definitely given me moments of pause and wonder.   The creative minds of hollywood have now discovered this strange occurrence and have now made a blockbuster movie.  The Director Joel Schumacher created the movie, "The Number 23," staring Jim Carrey and Virginia Madsen.  And although I have not yet seen the movie, I think their take on the 23 phenomena is that it is a bad thing.  I will see it later today, 2-23, the day I was due to be born, precisely, Feb. 23.  But nonetheless, I will leave it to you to give its' nature a quality. It has been both bad and good in my life.

One of the intriguing facts of synchronicity is that it can occur around a certain number. When I was 23 I was introduced to the concept of "23 skidoo." It was through a fiction novel, Illuminatus Trilogy, by Robert Anton Wilson. I had found the book by casually browsing through the local bookstore, desiring some light reading to offset my other studies. I can honestly say my life has not been the same since that time. Reading through that novel I was introduced to the term, "23 skidoo", and I soon became aware of the number's association with synchronicity. From a Jungian perspective, synchronicity can be defined as, "a meaningful coincidence; it is the occurrence of events that seemingly have no causal relationship, but are in fact related." Strangely,  I was soon to see 23 manifested in many of my life's turning points.

Robert Anton Wilson was introduced to the concept of 23 by William S. Burroughs.  Burroughs' relay's the story that while living in Tangiers, Morocco a Captain Clark was explaining to him that for 23 years he had piloted a ferry without incidence, only to have that same ferry sink that day killing everyone onboard. That same evening Burroughs switched on his radio to hear about a plane that had gone down, flight #23, piloted by another Captain Clark.  After that, Burroughs began noticing the number 23 popping up at odd times and in a synchronous manner. So, this is the birth of the Number 23 synchronicity.   It must be noted that a male and a female each contribute 23 chromosomes to a newly formed fetus, and every 23rd angstrom of the genetic coil an anomaly occurs. Not to mention, the earth is tilted at 23 degrees, and the 23rd I-Ching hexagram indicates that it represents separation or breaking apart; I could not agree more.

Before getting started with my brush with 23, I must say that I was due on February 23rd. If reincarnation is real, I must have noticed how ominous that date was; consequently, my mother started labor just before midnight on the 23^rd,  my soul attempting  to avoid it . However, like my lower self, because my soul was so bad at math I was born on 2-24-1968, and I was to discover that 2+24+1968=1994, and 1+9+9+4=23! How odd, it got me anyway!

One of the predominate effects of an adept on the path to enlightenment is the occurrence of synchronicity. In fact, a person desiring to tap the power of the new spiritual paradigm can begin by noticing the level of synchronicity within their lives. An acknowledgement of this paranormal effect can propel a person upon their path to awakening and enlightenment.

In 1993 I graduated from college, and my parents decided to purchase me a vacation for a graduation gift. Simultaneously, a close friend had just cleared up a visa issue in Dublin, Ireland, and he wanted to go on vacation as well. We decided on a ski vacation to Park City, Utah, and we began purchasing our tickets. When I received mine in the mail from the travel agent I was taken back with horror. We were to meet in Dallas and catch a flight to Park City together; the only problem was that the flight number was 323 and was scheduled to depart at 10:23. Needless to say, I was very troubled by this event, in light of the fact that one week before I had a very strange dream involving the number 23. In the dream a person before me was dribbling a basketball, and he wore a jersey with a huge 23 embossed upon it. Suddenly, my left ankle was in severe pain, and I reached down to grab it. This woke me up, and I quickly glanced at the clock while still grasping my left leg. The clock eerily displayed the numbers 10:23!  I was so upset by this episode that I called my girlfriend to relay this strange string of events.

I am not usually a very superstitious person, but all these 23's had me wondering. I actually visited a close friend who was aware of 23 to share my innate fear of the situation. I said, "Scott, I really don't want to go on this trip. What if the plane crashes or what if I break my leg skiing?" I really had an intrinsic fear of going to Utah for the Christmas vacation. Scott assured me I was taking myself too seriously and to go and just have fun, so I decided to quit being a killjoy and to take his advice.

Simon and I met up in Dallas and took the doomed flight to Utah; I knew it had been a bad idea when I arrived and they did not have a rental car awaiting me.  After many hours and several calls to corporate HQ the rental agent finally had a car for us to use. We were on our way, and I was having so much fun I hadn't even thought about the 23's.

It was the second day of our vacation; we were at the bottom of the mountain. Simon wanted to go back up, but I didn't. Then, the strangest change of hearts occurred; I wanted to go up, but Simon had second thoughts. We went up anyway. At the top I needed to use the bathroom; however, Simon incessantly kept pleading with me to go at the bottom of the run. So, like an idiot, I followed his pleas. We were about halfway down the run on a slope called "Treasure Hollow;" my right knee kept going out because of a spill I had that occurred on the first day, and it proceeded to happen again. I went down and was sliding to come back up when I looked over my shoulder, and I saw a guy totally out of control barreling toward me. The guy couldn't stop, and a huge impact occurred; we rolled over each other, as we went down the slope. Unfortunately, I saw my leg buckle in half, and I had to hold my boot to keep from losing my foot. We came to a stop, and I realized my left leg had been broken at the ankle. I screamed in dire pain, as Simon went to get the ski patrol. My mind had seen the event, or more precisely I created the event.  I spent 10 days in the hospital in Salt Lake City over Christmas then I flew home. When I returned home the orthopedic surgeon told me I would have to have a rod inserted in my bone to not lose any height. I had the operation over New Years and was discharged to go home a heal.

It was now 1994, since the turn of the New Years, the same number my birthday adds up to: 1+9+9+4=23. That realization was enough to hammer home the idea of the number 23 and its synchronistic occurences. Due to the fact that I had a rod put into my leg I did not have a cast; the only thing covering my leg was a lot of gauze. One afternoon I got curious about my injury and began removing the gauze. My leg looked black and blue, and there were many staples in my leg where the incisions from the operation had occurred.  I counted all the staples in my leg out of morbid fascination; I counted 23 in all, 23! I thought a cruel joke had been played on me, and all the Gods were laughing. This could not be! How could 23 manifest itself in my life with such ubiquity?  I began looking for any reference to the number 23.

Approximately 1 ½ years later a friend gave me 37 rare, imported beers, and at the time my girlfriend, which was my high school sweetheart, and myself were not getting along very well. Out of depression, I decided to drink 6 of the beers on wed, 6 on Thursday, and I had drank 6 on Friday. Then it occurred to me that must be unlucky, 666! With all the biblical references I thought there was something eerie about that number. Consequently, I drank the 7th and last beer. That created a different number, 667, and I felt much better about things. I decided to look up the number in Aleister Crowley's book "777" to learn what it might possibly mean. The book told me it meant - Oil for lightening, and its'  prime number of division was listed as 23. I could not believe my eyes; just then the phone rang, and it was my girlfriend; she wanted to inform  me we were no longer a couple; she wanted to break things off. I then realized it was October 23, 1995. Was this number ever going to leave me alone? I was now by myself to think long and hard about life and all its' weird occurrences.

Several months into my solo sabbatical I was reading a book I had purchased about magick. It was called, "The Magic(k)ian's Dictionary," and what it revealed about the number 23 was outstanding. Under the heading of chaos prediction I learned that oil locaters and stock brokers were utilizing chaos theory for success. It said, "If the wrong people get hold of this key they will be able to control all random factors in the world to their advantage. Innate creativity may have an underlying chaotic process that selectively amplifies small fluctuations. The amplification of small fluctuations (characteristic of Chaos) and its bibranching can be examined by values of growth factors at which bifurcations take place using "Feigenbaum's Number": 4,669. Its whole number factors are 7, 23, 29, 161, 203 and 667. " I was astounded to say the very least. Could it be that 23 was a product of chaos theory? It appeared that this happened to be the case. Finally, there was some substance behind all the madness. The number 23 and 667 were included in the definition--23*29=667. I decided to investigate this Feigenbaum fellow and chaos theory a little deeper.

A couple months later I was invited to go out with some friends. During our outing I met Neysa Wentworth, a girl I ended up dating for about 3 years. We met on June 23, 1996, a very notable date for me. I must say this girl really got under my skin; even after our breakup we remained best friends. Numbers at this point played a big part of my life; As Jim Carrey was in the movie, I was nearly obsessed studying the occurrence of 23 in license plates, on clocks, and the odometer. I found an overwhelming amount of 23 synchronicities utilizing this technique.

About a year later Neysa was really sick one night. As a result, I decided to take her to the hospital; it was August 29, no big deal. They decided to keep her over night to monitor her condition. Of all the rooms they had, they put her into room 23. 23*29=667! Synchronicity struck again, this time manifesting several of the numbers involved with chaos prediction. This 23 synchronicity was becoming very scary. In 1999, Neysa and I parted company, but we remained very good friends, talking on the phone several times a week.  Neysa voiced her dire concern about turning 23; I told her it was just a number and to not give it any power. Ha!

Later that year I decided to go out with a friend. While we were driving around we were pulled over by a cop. Unwittingly, my friend had received a suspended license after an accident he had due to a computer foul up and an insurance issue. The police took him off to jail, and I was left to drive his car home. It was November 23, 1999. The next day I bailed him out, and he went on to share an interesting story with me. While in the slammer he ran into two close friends; they had also been arrested for fighting with a guy that tried to break into their car. The next day I met these two individuals, and they showed me the arrest report. The report displayed some incredible information. They were arrested on November 23 on 23rd street at 11:23 P.M. How could the number 23 be any more synchronistic than that?

In 2001 I took a job with a computer company in Phoenix, Arizona. It was a very nice job; however, my office was on the 23rd floor. This number was obviously never going to leave me alone. Unfortunately, after approximately 8 months, the company claimed bankruptcy and closed their doors. This left me in a very bad situation; I was in the middle of Arizona with no job. Thankfully a job became available, and I moved to North Carolina and took a job in the import/export furniture business.

While in North Carolina, during the autumn of 2001, a most horrific thing occurred. On 9-11-2001 our country was attacked by a fanatical cult of terrorists. The World Trade Center was decimated, and the pentagon was badly damaged. Strangely enough, 9+11+2+0+0+1=23; a global nightmarish synchronicity had occurred. I decided to investigate the tragedy even more, and I soon discovered there where 23's involved all over the place. Let me begin. The last piece of metal was placed in the WTC on December, 23, 1970. The soil removed from the WTC footprint was used in a landfill in the Hudson River to create a new park; the landfill was 23 acres big. On July 23rd, 2001, just 7 weeks prior to the attacks, the New York Port Authority leased the entire WTC complex for 99 years. In 1999 Mayor Rudolf Guiliani created a crisis center on the 23rd floor of WTC 7 for instances of bad weather or a possible terrorists attack; this building also collapsed from all the damage! This was a huge, horrid 23 synchronicity!

During the Christmas season of that year I went to Louisville, Kentucky with my mother to visit relatives. On our return to North Carolina she was driving; we were somewhere in West Virgina, and I was explaining synchronicity to her as we drove. We were in the fast lane; In the slow lane I could see a flat bed 18 wheeler truck, underneath were a series of wenches for tightening the belts draped across the truck. The last one was wiggling and seemed to be loose. All of a sudden, the wench came off and crashed through the passenger side of the front windshield and landed in my lap. I was covered with glass, and my mom called the police on the cell phone. When the police arrived he told me how lucky I was; he had seen the same thing happen earlier that week, killing the passenger and the person in the back seat. He called for an ambulance to help me get rid of all the glass. The ambulance showed up and helped me remove all the glass shards; however, the ambulance was number 23. My mother and I looked strangely at each other, especially after the conversation we just had had.

It was Easter weekend 2002. My Father and Grandmother were in town from Louisville for the weekend. It was the Saturday night before Easter Sunday, and I had just returned home and had retired to my bedroom for the evening. I picked up the phone, and it issued an intermittent tone, indicating I had messages waiting. Upon checking the messages, a voice said in a very desperate tone, "please call me as soon as possible, there is a serious emergency with Neysa." I quickly called her residence and the voice answered. They informed me that Neysa had died the night before in her car on the way home from work. Terror and shock yanked at my soul. I called her mom and she confirmed for me the bad news. The following week she emailed me a copy of the newspaper article about the accident. The newspaper showed her battered car in vivid detail, and the headline read, "Girl Dies At Age 23." The only problem was Neysa was 25 at the time! Another horrendous synchronicity; A synchronicity I will never forget as long as walk this Earth! Neysa was dead!

I decided to gather my thoughts, so I moved back to Orlando.  Everything was going relatively well considering! I think I moved back to Orlando to visit the past after Neysa's death. The 23s had seemed to leave me alone for some time. Unfortunately, on 3-19 I was returning home, and my car stalled on the I-4 exit to Kirkman Drive. I had no shoulder to leave my car in, so I got to the side and began pushing my car out of the way. Horrendously, a driver from behind failed to avoid me and hit my car going over 70 MPH. According to witnesses, the rear of my car was thrown upward, nearly going end over end. I was thrown 15 or 20 feet in the air, and the car came down on top of me. The Life Flight that was called thought I was dead and decided not to land; the police had informed them I was a goner. I was luckily transported to Orlando Regional Hospital, which was about 15 minutes away. I had broken my right leg in two spots, all of the ribs on my right side, and I had broken my right shoulder, not to mention my nose. I had also collapsed my right lung and was very near death. I was in a coma for over a month. When I came to, I was in the hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. I later discovered that the date 3-19 is 23 days after my birthday!

As I have shown 23 is firmly embedded within chaos mathematics and Feigenbaum's number, 4,669. It may be that there is some hidden force behind all the madness. Chaos mathematicians espouse that what we see as disorder and randomness is in actuality a higher order that we are unable to witness and process. I believe that one day science will untangle the mystery of 23 and synchronicity. Parapsychologists know that it is the subject's intent that greatly effects how and if paranormal effects manifest. In that respect I definitely look to the future with a positive perspective, and I expect to only have synchronicities of a positive nature from here on out.

A year ago the most amazing occurrences of 23 happened to me and a neighbor. This is after I had explicated the 23 phenomena to him, which he immediately began seeing in his life... For instance, he began dating a girl on the 23rd of Nov., and she happened to be 23 year old. However, her birthday was on June 23rd, in which she turned 24. Not to mention, one day we counted 23 items on the wall of his bedroom. But all that aside, all three of us experienced the most profound occurrences of 23 to date ... His father was an actor starring in a local stage play, and we made reservations to go see him on July 24. We all 3 went to the theater that day and went to the box office to get our tickets. After getting the tickets, they all 3 displayed the wrong date for the appearance...it should have displayed Sun. July 24...but instead it showed Sun...July 23^rd.  That would have been strange enough for there to have been a misprint of all the tickets and for 3 people aware of the 23 synchronicity to have got them.  But even stranger was the fact we asked everybody else to see their tickets, and we were the only 3 people to have that date printed on ours that we found! We were the only 3! Ok,Ok...some might say your reading too much into it, and that is definitely possible. We were all 3 just taken back by the synchronicity, and I and my friend are talking about it while walking up his driveway toward the swinging bench we sit at all the time. I said, "how odd...out of everyone at the theater... we 3 get the only tickets with a misprint involving 23.... How Ironic!" I looked at the bench and smiled then said, "wouldn't it be so odd, if at this very moment we counted all the slats of wood that make up the bench and found it to only contain 23 pieces of wood?" He said, " I just fall down out of amazement"!  We counted them and counted exactly 23 slats of wood! I swear! The next day his girlfriend came over, and we're telling her about the bench.  I'm sure she already thought I was a magician! It totally freaked her out, witnessing what had happened at the theater. There was a rail across the front of the porch I was leaning on supported by numerous poles.... She said, "can you do it again...can you manifest 23?" I said, "I highly doubt it, but let's count the poles that support this railing! Yup... 23 again! No lie! She started crying, and said "how do you do that? You're a witch!!" I said, I'm not doing anything...it is obviously something to do with the structure of the universe...calm down...let's go inside and get you a glass of water. We went in and were preparing the glass of water. She was looking freaked out, and she started counting the cabinets in the kitchen. I said, "stop and chill out...it won't happen again.. .you can't force it...., but she then continued to count 23 cabinets..23! She said,  "Something is going on!!" Something is going on, and now Hollywood has gotten a hint of this High Wierdness!

Since the turn of the Millennium, it has become grossly apparent that higher awareness is unfolding among mankind, and we are becoming cognizant of an innate power that shapes the experiences we encounter.  In fact, it is safe to say that many have transcended beyond a mere awareness of this power, and they are fast becoming master reality creators.  This realization comes at the heels of a movement propelled by the world wide web and other advanced forms of media, specifically "Spiritual Cinema" with productions like "The Secret" and "What the Bleep Do We Know."  "The Secret" is especially conducive for an awakening of this gnosis; it seems to resonate profoundly, as if some divine key within man is awakening an inner knowing.   

The Law of Attraction works by the notion that what we give thought to is "attracted" to us and begins to manifest in the material universe. The more passionate we feel when thinking those thoughts then the more we are actualizing them in the physical world.  Therefore, our thoughts in moments of utter annoyance, absolute despair, or complete exhilaration all have a major impact on what we pull into our experience.  How we feel on a momentary basis in conjunction with the thoughts we are having determines what gravitates into reality. Therefore, it becomes obvious why it is crucial to keep a positive mental attitude, thereby attracting the things most desired and avoiding what we most dislike. People are using this Law in a very successful way, and with specific techniques they are becoming effective creators and manifesting some astonishing feats.   

Is there any evidence supporting this outlandish supposition?  There is no specific evidence which demonstrates this Law; however, Quantum Physicists do know that the observer's mind is what determines the actualities that present themselves in quantum states.  The observer "Collapses the Waveform" of the quantum states involved, locking reality into what is perceived in the mind, and or, attracting one possibility from an ocean of possibilities to that set point of attraction. As chaos theory espouses, an "attractor point" pulls the whole system unto itself, giving shape to what would otherwise appear as pure randomness and drawing the system into a specific occurrence.  In addition to what quantum physicists have determined about mind and reality, Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Lab has conducted a study stipulating that there is a small but quantifiable link between human thought and patterns that are found to occur in random data sets.  Additionally, the studies done by Global Consciousness Project with Random Number Generators exemplifies that our mind and matter are connected. This is by no means definitive evidence of this "Law", but if one examines the above and observes the renaissance of awareness currently taking place, one sees that this very "Law" does seem to be describing a real process and is attracting unto itself greater awareness.  

"The Law of Attraction" has been utilized under different guises throughout the ages in various esoteric schools of thought, notably, claims by alchemists that matter is in fact transmutable, and it is the aim of all Magick. According to the famous occultist Aleister Crowley, magick is The Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will." This is precisely what "The Law Of Attraction" is all about, causing the material universe to offer up your desires in real time events. In fact, Crowley believed every intentional act is a magickal act. Donald Tyson says this of magick: "Magick is the art of affecting the manifest through the Unmanifest. The manifest is all that can be seen, touched, perceived, manipulated, imagined, or understood. The Unmanifest is none of these things. It is the place, or rather the non-place, from which everything issues. All that comes into being comes from the Unmanifest. All that passes away goes back to the Unmanifest."   

This awareness is the key to shaping the 2012 outcome, and we would be severely amiss not to utilize it to our advantage.  Press surrounding the "End of Times"  in 2012, and how that may or may not unfold, contributes to a collective visualized "Attractor Point" thus pulling that frame of reality towards itself.   It is vital that we project upon it a reality that serves life and higher awareness.  In doing so, we will create a synergistic and beneficial unfolding that promotes well being within our shared reality. Despite whether or not there is a bifurcation in 2012, the Law of Attraction should be utilized for achieving the highest possible good for mankind as we traverse the landscape of time before us.

Among those who see possible radical evolutions in the near human future, there are those who view the coming changes as a big win for human engineering and there are those who see it as a gnosis, as the achievement of a sort of religious divinity.

"I mainly utilize chaos magick."

Like Daniel Pinchbeck in our last issue, Jonathan Bethel's views fall within the latter category.

Jonathan Bethel is the Director of the Omega Point Institute, a futurist think tank, consciousness research group, center for spiritual studies, and singularity watch group that studies the relationship between human consciousness and the accelerating trends within science, technology and culture. In a word, Jonathan is a singularitarian. His shamanic name is Seshua. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia where he is recovering from an automobile accident that broke his nose, right ankle, his right shoulder, and all of the ribs on his right side, collapsed his lung, and put him into a coma for just over a month.

NEOFILES: We have had some lively discussions with advocates of transhumanism, revolving around technology, humanist philosophy, politics ...yet you are only the second person that we've spoken to who seems to advocate these expansions of human attributes as a spiritual or religious path. Do you think your vision is isolated, or are there more people out there thinking along these lines? And explain a little bit about how you see the techno-scientific alteration of humanity as a spiritual process.

JONATHAN BETHEL: Searching the World Wide Web, I have not yet encountered other individuals with a similar perspective. Although, I figure they must exist, on a planet with 6.5 billion people. As we approach this ultra-novel event, it will begin to take on spiritual and religious qualities for people. A lot of the talk about the Age of Aquarius and a "new age" of spirituality has to do with the realization of the divine man within. I believe you will begin to see groups gather around the concept of this awakening.  

 

A lot of our religious material, especially prophecy, has to do with the awakening of super-humanity at a specific time in the future. If a technological singularity is really going to occur, then it has always existed on the temporal landscape; it has always been accessible to any shaman who is able to alter his or her consciousness and view the time continuum. This is exactly what John of the Island of Patmos saw prior to scribing the Book of Revelations. We can look on it as a new heaven and a new earth, or as the idea of a New Jerusalem. I think all the talk about the second coming is about the realization of the transhumanist man. Also, Aleister Crowley's concept of the Age of Horus depicts this current environment, as in "The unveiling of the company of heaven" and "Every man and woman is a star." This has yet to occur, but if the singularity happens, our own divine natures will be revealed. In "Keys of Enoch," J.J. Hurtak describes the release of material man into a whole new reality, a fundamentally spiritual event. Also, Nietzsche foresaw the realization of the Übermensch, or super-human. It is obvious to me that we have been glimpsing this attractor for some time. Of course, I can't imagine what great minds will achieve with nanotechnology, faster-than-light technology, robotics, or super chemistry.

Will history end when the Mayan calendar ends, in the year 2012?

Science is also skirting the edges of the twilight zone; a unified field theory appears to be within our grasps. There is even a doctor experimenting with a time machine capable of sending particles back in time. And then there is our genetic understanding, such as the human genome project and cloning.

As we approach the singularity, I foresee a shared reality transmitted through a virtual reality type of technology, with all participants, likely through a wireless linkup, experiencing the inside of a Matrix, where everyone can participate in ongoing ritual and worship.

NF: You're site has some materials on the 2012 idea. This meme has been spread by Terence McKenna and by Jose Arguelles that humanity will go through a radical transformation, a sort of singularity, in that year. The notion is based on the Mayan calendar, McKenna came to believe this as the result of a long psilocybin mushroom experience. With all due respect to psychedelic visioning, why should we believe or even consider this? What is the epistemological evidence for believing this?

JB: It is strange that when Terence McKenna arrived at his date, he was unaware of the Mayan connection. Like McKenna, I believe that psychedelics allow us to see multi-dimensionally. So the fact that he distilled his Timewave from a shamanic psychedelic experience doesn't detract from it at all. Society finds all this suspect because it has rejected shamanism. Personally, I've had two visions involving the singularity - popularly called the rapture - utilizing deep shamanic trances. These types of experiences will never make it into textbooks and they are obtained by unorthodox means. That should not negate them. 
 

Aside from that and the acceleration of science and technology, there is no evidence to support this end date, and I don't think we should expect too much. The date makes me think of a cosmic alarm clock; just because it's ringing doesn't mean you're going to get out of bed right away. As Terence was known for saying; all this requires "a hard swallow."

NF: You show some attraction to Rupert Sheldrake's theory of morphic resonance? What would you cite as the evidence for this theory?

JB: There are several points of evidence that suggest Sheldrake's theory. One point is the formation of schools of fish and flocks of birds. It is amazing to watch the formation and movement of these entities. The overall movement of each seems to indicate they are tied to one field. There appears to be some form of order behind all the random behavior. Sometimes during a heightened state of mind, one can almost merge with these morphic fields and get into mental sync with the flock. It is obvious to me that the world is structured around hive minds. I believe everything in our universe, even apparent randomness, follows some sort of higher order. Synchronicity exemplifies this order.

There is also the strange awareness of homing pigeons; they have that uncanny ability to find their way home from just about anywhere. It is equally odd that a dog can travel vast distances to find its way home. In addition, it is also known that pets get restless and anxious when their owner's are very close to home. In my opinion, this is evidence to suggest that some animals perceive hyper-dimensionally.

On a human level, the silence that falls over a crowded room seems to be an instance of morphic resonance. It is as if some form of group intelligence hushed the whole room simultaneously. It is very telling that we say, "Will you get off of my wavelength" when someone says what we are thinking. I think we have an innate understanding of all this; unfortunately, we seems to have lost our true connections to it somewhere in our past.

One of the main criticism of the morphic theory is that there is no medium upon which information can resonate. This is a reductionist criticism that ignores the quantum inseparability principle - information can travel vast distances instantaneously.

NF: Could you describe a bit more your shamanic experiences in seeing a coming singularity? What was the methodology and tell us more about what you saw?

JB:I smile mischievously! I must say, I really don't want the public getting the wrong idea about me, especially about shamanic power plants. So, I'm a bit hesitant. I'm sure you will handle the description in an intelligent and gentle manner.

These two experiences of the omega point/singularity were the exception, not the rule.

Most people knew me as Seshua, the shaman. Shamanism was always a very important part of my worldview. I would describe myself magickally as a Thelemic-Shaman-Kabbalist. I mainly utilize chaos magick. For 18 years, I have been into any method that brings on a deep trance state. For me, these included: meditation, pranayama, sleep deprivation, sex magick, hypnosis, concentration, brain-wave synchronization - otherwise known as light-sound goggles, etc. ... In my opinion, the most powerful catalyst that brings on paranormal effects is the various shamanic power plants. They create the elixir par excellence!

These two incidents go back a bit in time. The first happened in June 1996. I was still dating Neysa Wentworth. We decided to go camping and enter into the archaic mode of mind. Timothy Leary had died about a week before. I took my shamanic drum and my Tibetan bowl to the campsite. After we set it all up, I gathered some of the shamanic power plants in that area and prepared them. I began drumming and chanting, As ego death progressed, I talked to Neysa about Timothy Leary, immortality, and Osiris. As I told her, I could feel and sense information fields coming together and coalescing. I heard the familiar crumpling sound in my head. Then I heard some sort of blast, an auditory hallucination that sounded like a concussion. All of a sudden, I was inserted into a pure field of gnosis. I then uttered, "We don't really die!" I could actually hear Timothy Leary chuckling in my head.

This gnosis was beyond anything I had ever experienced. I had the unmistakable sense that mankind was evolving toward an elevated plane, and I was getting a preview of that development. It was as if I was part of a future rapture. This is before I ever researched the omega point or the technological singularity, although I was aware of Terence McKenna's notion of infinite novelty in 2012. I kept telling my revelations to Neysa. I would tell her that we needed to wake up from the primordial sleep that has grabbed all of humanity. I told her most humans were walking around totally asleep. I realized and understood how death was conquered utilizing genetics, super-chemistry, nanotechnology, cloning, and the uploading of human consciousness to computers. It was as if the universe was communicating directly to my soul. Its main points were that humans could overcome death and they would arrive at divinity. I had the sense that we were to be connected to everyone we ever cared for, like a cosmic instant messenger ... I contemplated how mathematics was to reveal it all, especially the dawning of a unified field theory ... I understood how we were just holographic projections into a 3rd dimensional manifold. I even spouted off some formulas in my mania. The best way to describe it is to call it an understanding. This seemed to be something I knew in a very close way, a gnosis.

I couldn't maintain the trance; it was too much for me to process, and I lost lucidity. I came to about an hour and a half later. I was left realizing that I had witnessed something truly magnanimous. I firmly felt as if I had witnessed a future moment of transcendence and graduation for myself and the whole of humanity. It was as if we were lifted to a new order of being. I began studying and researching fervently. In my research, I came across Vernor Vinge and his concept of the singularity. Mathematical probabilities now described what I witnessed. This deep trance allowed me to be aware of the future evolution of mankind. I believe Tielhard was right when he says that evolution is destined to arrive at an omega point. I concluded that this singularity or omega point is ingrained into the genetic archives of humanity. It is a dwell point and strange attractor that has existed on the temporal landscape the whole time. Any shaman can voyage through this genetic archive/morphic field/temporal landscape. They can travel either forward or backward thru time. The journey does not always happen in a controlled fashion; many times the shaman gets taken on a random ride into the unknown and sees a variety of evolutionary content.

I have been present when an atavism from the past wells up and takes over a group's perceptions. It is like a template is overlaid over reality, and the perceptions are all filtered through that paradigm. I remember when a whole group of individuals I was a part of saw suckers and aquatic features in everyone present. I also remember the time that we all saw the various forms of vegetation exhibiting their own communication dishes, a cone-like extension that seemed to be a part of the vegetation. If the genetic archives can show you things from our evolutionary past and other possible outcomes to evolution, why couldn't it also bring you information about our future?

I had several more shamanic voyages into the fractal frontiers, yet I never achieved the same gnosis as I did in June of 1996. Then, on Halloween 1998, my then girlfriend and I gathered at her sister's house. We prepared the shamanic plants to everyone's liking. It worked very well, and things got very strange. Then it happened! Again, I heard a sound go off in my head, like a concussion. I was launched into divine gnosis. I understood that we would achieve divine status. I had the repeat impression that we were undoubtedly going to conquer death. I felt very divine and all the anxiety about my life drained from my body. I told everyone sitting around us about my revelations. They just thought I had lost my marbles. I said, "No, really! We will overcome death in the next century. Nothing can stop it .... We are all baby gods waiting for our divine nature. That is the reason for our existence." I then explained a bit about the 8 circuits of consciousness, and how I was receiving information from the 7th and 8th circuits. I was having trans-time and quantum/atomic experiences, a realization of the Adam Kadmon, the archetypal man. The gnosis lasted several hours and it faded away. It was a much more enjoyable experience than my previous trip to the singularity.

These two experiences were so profound that they have changed my perceptions forever. Since that time, I have become an avid futurist and transhumanist.

NF: In our interview with Max More, he said: "I have seen attempts, past and present, to infuse religious elements into transhumanism. If that means introducing claims that are, in principal, impossible to refute by logic and experience, then I continue to maintain that they conflict with the foundations of transhumanism. Any worldview that results from that mixture is a memetic monster."

JB: I both agree and disagree with Max More. I believe most religions contain some reflection of the coming of transhumanism in their utopian aspects. The dogma and control of today's world religions mixed with transhumanism could be a memetic monster. Transhumanism will have a strange impact on our perceptions and awareness; consequently, I can imagine post-singularity technologies married to a current religious ideology becoming a very destructive viral meme. If we are stuck with the guilt-based control built into many of today's religions, a merging could breed a meme of control, hysteria, and tyranny. However, one cannot plummet the imperium of the imagination without bringing back some token of magick and divine thinking. Through the form of the transhumanist human, we will be capable of manifesting materially whatever we are experiencing mentally. So it's very difficult for me to separate a superhuman from a godlike human. From a human perspective, they both appear to involve the impossible.

The structure of the universe is composed in such a way so as to form a finely tuned and conducive environment for the crystallization of sentient life. This is an extremely rare occurrence that cannot be easily dismissed as a product of random mutation. Any scientifically minded person will readily tell you that life in our universe is so improbable that it might as well be impossible, but the fact that I am here writing this article is proof we have overcome this immense improbability. So, is there a blueprint to our universe, and has this blueprint seeded our reality to bring us forth?

Indeed, there appears to be a wisdom and plan to space-time that has created a delicately harmonized environment, formulating the sustenance that all life needs; it is as if some field of intelligence has seeded and fabricated this rare set of circumstances out of the ether.


Several scholars have publicly speculated on these philosophical questions, notably scientists Ervin Laszlo and Bernard Haisch. Both of these individuals have breathed the mysterious breath of spirit back into the scientific and philosophical underpinnings of cosmology, giving us a much, more radical interpretation of why reality is the way it is. Physicists now know that the physical world we see about us, full of its substantial things, is really just a compressed field of empty space; the matter we see is a holographic crystallization of the Quantum Vacuum, the Zero Point Field. Some even argue that physical reality is more of a collective "thought" than an actual group of things. Some analysts contend that the paradigm shift we are now facing is a complete bifurcation in the way we work with and perceive that collective thought of reality, the way we deal with space, time, and material objects.

This Zero Point Field seems to be the mind of God, since this Vacuum,
according to physicists, is the substrate for known reality and has brought everything into existence. In fact, our universe and the way it operates is the expression of information seeded into the Zero Point Field by previous creations, for our universe is only one creative iteration of the Multiverse that left its imprint of success in the Zero Point Field, thereby seeding our universe for a further evolution of that success.

The first scripture in Genesis where God creates light before even the sun, the source of light, now makes much more scientific sense, because the Zero Point Field is a sea of imperceptible light in which our finite world of matter floats; it is the light from which all things come into existence in finite reality and into which they return when they complete their cycle of existence. This light sounds nearly identical to the Ain Soph Aur, the light of the Kabbalists that precedes creation and from which their "Tree of Life" manifests.

Everything we do or say leaves a permanent imprint on the Zero Point Field, a residual inference pattern on the holographic fabric of reality. This explains how and why paranormal abilities, such as psychic powers, work so well; the psychic has learned how to tune into the information of the Zero Point Field, both the past and the future. In any non-local field, like the Quantum Vacuum, past and future are illusions, and everything is happening in the now of the eternal.

This information makes the idea of Karma and Jesus' words, "As you sow, so shall you reap" all the more relevant, for everything we do leaves a permanent imprint on the Quantum Vacuum and will continue to effect reality going forward. Consequently, cleaning up one's karma and leading a cleaner existence would in essence be attempting to lessen any negative swirl you put into the ethers and trying to rectify any negativity you added to our shared global experience. When you stop and think about how permanent our actions and words are, it makes one realize how eternal the strokes of our paintbrush are to the canvas of life.

This also explains why the love and wisdom one feels from the divine seems so eternal, for it is. It goes back universe after universe to the very beginning, if there was a beginning. Many orthodox theologians claim that God does not evolve, for he is pure perfection, and maybe they are right. Nevertheless, the universes that come forth from the Zero Point Field are evolving and imprinting their own successes back on to that very field, so in a way the divine mind of creation, God, is evolving. Therefore, this is not the only reality that has ever existed; it is merely one universe among countless spawned from the eternal Multiverse that imprints all information on the Quantum Vacuum, the Zero Point Field, the Mind of God.

A synchronicity is a very poignant moment when our own thoughts and personal histories meld into the physical reality surrounding us, giving us a glimpse into the divine machine of sacred geometric gears that rule the crystallization of time and the material universe in which we are bound. We have all had moments when the uncanny occurs, a momentary happenstance mimicking a fresh thought we have just had, a statement that has just been made, or the simultaneous occurrence of two or more meaningful events. Such moments are a little wink from divinity letting us know that our world is far from the meaningless universe that reductionism has presupposed and that there is a point to even the most abstract of events that occur within our lives

The Swiss psychoanalyst and psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung was the man who first coined the term synchronicity. He stipulated that a synchronicity was a meaningful coincidence, and it was, "an acausal connecting principle;" it was not the result of any space-time causation, and it seemed to defy our rationalized deductions about our universe. More simply put, it is the occurrence of two or more events beyond mere coincidence that are meaningful logically but completely inexplicable and seemingly unconnected.

Recently Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Lab has conducted a study suggesting that there is a small but quantifiable and statistically measurable link between human thought and patterns that are found to occur in random data sets. No evidence has been found to determine whether this is caused by people unwittingly recognizing these complex patterns and then shaping their thoughts toward an unconsciously known outcome, or if the thoughts of the studies individuals are in fact affecting the data sets themselves. However, recent conclusions of several preeminent scientists would stipulate that our minds do indeed affect reality. They concur that our physical reality is more of a group thought than a collection of substantial things, a hologram of compressed empty space shaped by our observation of it.

Furthermore, The Global Consciousness Project, also based at Princeton, theorizes that human consciousness influences objective reality by means that are still to be determined by current scientific methodologies. Using Random Number Generators scattered over the whole globe (computers programmed to spew forth a random string of digits) they found that patterns of numbers appeared at moments of mass global focus, events such as 911, the turning of the millennium, and the burial of Princess Diana.

These findings and studies would suggest that we have a far more influential role in determining our reality than we have been led to believe. This being the case, it makes it all the more essential that we approach reality in as positive a light as possible, for we want to create the most conducive and most beneficial environment as possible for ourselves and those around us. The old adage that we create our own reality is beginning to be proven true.

How many people have noticed the frequency and intensity of synchronicities being on the increase in the last few years? I believe this increase can be explained by the fact that we are getting closer to a cosmic doorway and rupture in space-time, an Omega Point. This Omega Point on the temporal landscape, the time-scape, creates motions and waves that travel back through time utilizing the medium of the ether. This ether is the quantum vacuum, the zero point field, or the Akashic field.

According to Einstein, time is an illusion, and everything that has ever existed or will exist is happening in the "Now" on the temporal landscape. Realizing this, an Omega Point or 2012 Eschaton would create waves that travel back through time and reach us, affecting the mind-matter connection we have all but forgotten exists. As we approach this Omega Point/Eschaton, these waves will become more pronounced and frequent, as the matter-mind connection is brought into higher cognizance when these delectable, synchronous moments present themselves.

Synchronicity seems to be a communication of our soul with our lower self, bringing events and people with significance into our lives, a significance that our lower self can apprehend. It is as if our minds temporarily falls into lock-step with the cosmos, and the mystery behind it all reveals itself for a moment. In addition, synchronicity has been known to occur around certain numbers. The number 23 has been noticed by many to be a number of synchronicity. Synchronistically, I was introduced to the notorious 23 skidoo when I was 23. I will give a link to an article I wrote on 23 skidoo below. I must state that just because synchronicity appears so incomprehensible doesn't mean it is always a good thing. It usually is a great thing, but it can also manifest, as you will see in my 23 article, at times of great dissatisfaction, such is life!!!

The Kabbalistic Tree of Life is a speculative tool of exceedingly pertinent relevance to the nature of our reality and has been passed down to us from ancient, enlightened adepts of the past, master Kabbalists known as "Mekubals." This model of reality is invested with the knowledge of the specific way in which matter and energy come into existence, and it contains a map and diagram of the structure of the multiple-dimensionality of space-time, a structure that is strikingly similar to the theories of modern super-string theory. It is also an excellent map for describing and delineating the psychological makeup of man and the many levels of mind that comprise our being, stretching from the mind of God down to the individual human being. The ancients used the "Ot Chiim," the Tree of Life, to describe the process of creation and the immanence of the divinity within man. The tree made cognizant the processes whereby the Godhead limits itself and actualizes the material world, what is displayed on the Tree of Life as the bottom Sephira called Malcuth - "The Kingdom."

The Tree of Life is a diagram consisting of ten spheres plus an artificial eleventh sphere, Daath-Knowledge, created by mans ascent back to the Godhead, and it is also comprised of twenty two paths connecting each of the spheres, making a total of thirty two divine principles that relate to our entire existence. Each of the twenty two paths is associated with one of the twenty two letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and they are also related to one of the twenty two major arcana of the Tarot; the Tarot is the Kabbalah in picture form and holds many mysteries of the relationship of the archetypal forces of the tree of life. The Tree of Life consists of an arrangement of these Sephiroth, these spheres of divine attribution, in three columns or pillars. The pillar on the left is the pillar of severity, the pillar on the right is the pillar of mercy, and the middle pillar represents the soul to be initiated. This middle pillar is the synthesis of the Pillar of Mercy and the Pillar of severity with the Sephira in the center, Tiperath, becoming the center of the whole system. In the Christian Kabbalah this center sphere, Tiperath, represents the balance point between the infinitude of the Godhead and the actualization and solidification in the finite kingdom. The middle pillar also represents the central channel of the human body where subtle energies are manifested and sublimated into the higher center at the crown. This is similar to the kundalini force of eastern mysticism with its seven chakras; the world of spirit being actuated also in the head. The Left and Right hand pillars on each side of Tiperath are represented in every Freemasonic Lodge and in King Solomon's Temple. These pillars stand as sentinels through which the initiate must pass on his way to the spiritual kingdom, the initiate being symbolized by the middle pillar on the tree of life. These pillars are named Jachin and Boaz, meaning "Strength in God" and "God Will Establish" respectively.

This Otz Chiim, The Tree of Life, can be thought of as God's transformer whereby the mysteries and archetypes of the infinite mind of God are distilled, condensed, and actualized in the finite world. Additionally, it is the map through which man must navigate to reach the divinity that is his birthright; it is the ladder we use to climb back up to the divine source from our lowly place of descent and imprisonment in the density of matter.

Not only is the Tree of Life a device we utilize to gain oneness once more with the Godhead, but it is a precise model of the creation of the universe - space, matter, energy, and time. Most modern cosmologists and physicists acknowledge the fact that our universe started by an ignition within a singularity, the big bang. The Tree of Life, too, promulgates the notion that creation had its origins in a singularity of corresponding comport. According to the Kabbalah, the No-thingness of the Ain, a nothingness beyond the concept of nothing but containing infinite potentiality that is the source of the Godhead, crystallized and condensed into the singularity of Kether (meaning "The Crown,"our concept of God.) This singular sephira is of monumental significance, for it is the singular seed from which all of creation pours forth. In other words, the pure information of the potentiality of No-thingness emanated down to become the substantial world of matter we all exist within. During this emanation, ten consecutive dimensions were formed with an eleventh after the fact. Strangely, String theory stipulates that the universe is comprised of ten spatial dimensions and one dimension of time. So in essence, the Kabbalah knew the nature of our created world long before the scientific method of physicists was ever utilized.

The Kabbalah and its Tree of Life contain many of the truths of our existence, and they are revealed to any ardent seeker who speculates on its complex design. It would be wise for any seeker after truth to analyze and study the tree of life and see the manifold of truth laden correspondences it contains. If someone were to ask you where the "I" you realize about yourself is centered in your body, you would undoubtedly say behind your eyes. Well, that of course makes sense because our brain is in our head, and this is the place from where our mind looks out upon the world. However, esoteric thinkers have thought for a long time that the pineal gland has many mystical qualities and is the place where the "I AM" consciousness of our soul enters our body. Rene Descartes is the one who first called this gland the "Seat of the Soul," but a general esoteric understanding of the head chakra being tied to divine wisdom goes back much further.

Two deep esoteric strands of thought both place the heaven world, the Nirvanic realm, within the head of man. The Kabbalistic middle pillar of the tree of life and the Hindu chakra system both place stacked energy centers along the spine culminating in the mystical energy center of the Head. Both systems show how the grosser material tendencies are subsumed in the more rarified higher centers of the head. These two systems can be utilized to facilitate a complete integration of the personality under the aegis of the higher self, as lower personality energies are sublimated into the higher centers of the head.

The pineal gland is a pea-sized gland located in the center of our brain, and although the pineal is not exposed to the outside world, the gland is photosensitive; one of its functions is to regulate our circadian rhythms, our internal natural clock, using light to govern the pineal gland's melatonin production.

It has also been discovered that the pineal gland secretes several very intense psychedelic compounds, notably DMT. Dr. Rick Strassman has discovered that this compound is excreted by the pineal gland in large amounts at birth and at death. It is thought that this substance is the center piece in people who have had near death experiences, abduction scenarios, out of body experiences, and mystical peak experiences, not to mention he found high concentrations in schizophrenic patients.

This seems to be evidence that when it is fully open, our pineal gland is indeed a gland in the perception of the great hologram of the universe surrounding us. It is the third eye that sees into the spirit realm, the hologram of the Zero Point field, the mind of God. This third eye, this pineal gland, can be activated and fully opened through deep meditative practices and trance work.

Remote location viewer's focus on the third eye in the head when attempting to sense and project into the etheric realm surrounding us - they seek to travel the holographic etheric image of reality. There is really nothing magickal about it; we have just evolved to a point where we can now utilize hyper-spatial techniques and travel the etheric hologram.

Some 2012 eschatologists besides me, such as Geoff Stray, propose that the pineal gland is a future organ of perception. It is currently in a latent phase of operability, but that can change with reversal of the geomagnetic field. It is believed by some that a magnetic pole reversal on earth could trigger a mass production of these molecules in people all over the globe, a molecular vehicle whereby one travels to a new dimension, an ascension to a new plane of being.

None of us know for certain what will happen in 2012; this is just wild eyed speculation. However, the next major wave of sunspot activity is set to occur in 2012. In addition, solar activity has been on the increase since records started being kept. And scientists recently stipulated the earth is hotter than it ever has been in 1 million years. Sure, the burning of fossil fuels is adding horribly to global warming, yet the real culprit in the mounting earth changes is the solar activity. Not to mention, there are many anomalous activities occurring all over our solar system caused by increased solar activity. A solar magnetic field reversal in 2012 during an extremely active cycle would undoubtedly cause a magnetic polar reversal here on Earth.

So, it is possible that all this hoopla about 2012 is intuitive foreknowledge of a radical geomagnetic field reversal that will cause us all to excrete large quantities of the spirit molecule DMT, thereby creating mass telepathy worldwide, the full crystallizing of the noosphere and dawning of the Omega Point.

I must state that I do not prescribe to a any certain set of circumstances for 2012, as I try to be open to any new interpretations about our future; however, there is strong scientific evidence that supports this hypothesis. "The Elohim(of genesis) said let us create man in our image. Male and female they created them." Elohim is properly translated as "the gods." The image of the gods? What could this possibly mean? It is believed that the first chapter of Genesis depicts the creation of the entire universe, as explicated by the Kabbalah, by the one true creator god. When finished, the universe was complete, with wild life and hunter-gather humans populating the earth. However, the second and third chapter represents a further evolution of what God had created by a forced progression of the humans on Earth by "the gods." It is not a recap of the first chapter, as many orthodox Christians would have you ridiculously believe. It is a description of our further creation as modern civilized humanity by an extra-terrestrial race of advanced humans, an outside intervention in our evolution. They descended to our planet and created from the hunter-gather man roaming the Earth an entity in their own image, by placing their own DNA inside us, creating the known modern Homo Sapien Sapiens; they then, starting in 3000 B.C.E. focused on 6 key locations around the globe and taught mankind civilization and agriculture. And speaking of the Bible, who were the sons of God who found the daughters of men fair and bore the Nephilim by them? Sounds like an extra-terrestrial race to me! How could a numinous God mate with women? It would take physical beings to do that!

All these accounts are echoed in the Sumerian creation myth, the Enuma Elish, where it states that an extra-terrestrial race of advanced humans, the Annunaki, descended from the stars and created man from their own DNA and taught them all the different advanced
knowledge that the Sumerians are popularly known for having created for themselves. Although, the Sumerians never take personal credit for their advanced knowledge, but instead, they claim it was taught to them by the gods.

If one stops and ponders that starting about 3000 B.C.E. six cultures on a globe of hunter gathers, suddenly sprung up with an advanced understanding of mathematics, astronomy, agriculture and it's concomitant complex system of irrigation, the written word, arts and aesthetics, a system of laws, and a host of other advanced knowledge, then it becomes blatantly obvious that an outside agency of advanced extra-terrestrials intervened in our evolution and development in our distant past. How else could a race of hunter-gathers transform so quickly into the advanced civilizations that we know existed?

As I have said, this advanced race of humans lived among us and took us from hunter gathers to advanced agriculturalists in a very short period of time. As it says in the Bible, "we were cast from the garden to till the soil and toil with the sweat of our brow." Three of these cultures developed and cultivated four crops that we still use to this day to feed ourselves, corn, potatoes, rice, and wheat. Not to mention, many of these cultures have a geodesic placement of pyramids, ones that our current architecture cannot replicate
to this day, even with all our advanced technology.

It must be remembered that the primitive cultures of the world evolved according to the way Social Darwinists and anthropologist would expect, that is primitive hunter-gathers living in a very primal state. However, it cannot account for the explosive growth of the several advanced cultures that sprang up and built our first cities. This is extremely anomalous behavior and does not accord with what social Darwinist and anthropologists would dictate. In some remote areas of the world, we still have primitive tribes that live as hunter-gathers and have evolved just as anthropologists would have expected. So, what happened in those other select areas of the world?

Advanced systems of knowledge take years to form and come to fruition. So how did these cultures, such as the Sumerians, the Egyptians, the Olmecs, the Indus Valley inhabitants, the Mayans etc... gain their knowledge in such a short span of time? It is plain to see, an advanced race of extra-terrestrials taught these things to humans, and this is exactly what they claimed happened.

Realizing we have extra-terrestrial DNA and knowledge would explain the sudden rise to technological prominence we have attained in the last century and the beginning of this century. We have mapped the entire human genome and have a basic understanding of cloning; we have created a DNA computer, where a trillion of them can fit inside a test tube and perform billions of computations per second, and we have discovered the secrets of nuclear fusion and created nuclear weapons that can now destroy our entire planet. Not to mention, there are multitudes of other extra-terrestrial technologies we have invented. These facts make our enigmatic origins much more clear and concise.

The conspiracy theorists need to quit looking at the sky for any signs of E.T.s; they have already arrived and are all around us. In fact, they are us!
