Everyone has heard the cliché phrase, "you create your own reality," but has anyone ever stopped to contemplate just how that process might work and how it could be true? Sure, if we focus on something about ourselves long enough, we tend to harmonize with it and start imitating it in our lives, thereby becoming that thing. But in addition to that, I believe our subconscious mind is actually changing reality to our subconscious desires and aversions; our mind is syncing with quantum events and transforming the apparent random universe to our innate wishes and fears, thereby crystallizing reality into what is occurring within our own brain and subconscious mind.

The scientific school of reductionism has stipulated for years that there is no scientific proof mind and matter are connected. Nevertheless, researchers have now witnessed this connection through experiment, and it can now be proven utilizing the scientific method that there is indeed a connection! It is obvious from various studies done within the last several decades that our minds have the ability to shape matter and reality. This ability to influence does not only occur in our present time, but research has also shown that our minds can even effects events from the past as well. I call this retroactive magick! That is really what we are talking about here, a true magickal connection with reality. However, the magick of the past will become the science of the future, as we learn more and more about this process. Only recently has science begun to see and experiment with this relationship, and it is now beginning to see there is sync between mental states and events, especially in regards to global mind and planetary occurrences.

Quantum physicists have known since the middle of last century that an experiment is wholly determined by the mind of the experimenter. They contend that a quantum event is permanently determined, "collapsing the waveform," when a perceiver's mind has witnessed the actual quantum occurrence. "Collapsing the waveform" made physicists speculate and joke that the universe was not really manifest when not being perceived, like a huge swirl of nothingness occurring just out of sight; it was only crystallized into reality upon perception. Our minds appear to be the one force that distinguishes deterministic states from indeterminism and pure randomness.

This process of manifestation is not that difficult to perform once you understand the techniques needed to accomplish it. For instance, the process of creative visualization creates a holographic representation and imprint upon the ethers of space-time, also know as the "quantum vacuum" and the "Akashic field." It consequently creates what chaos theorists call an "attractor point," which then pulls the current frame of reality and space-time towards it. Reality transforms and changes into this holographic "attractor point," as the random and chaotic system we call the universe flows into it. Consequently, this is why it is so important to keep goals out in front of you, for without a goal or "attractor point," we aimlessly wander without any direction. However with goals, the system we call our life has an "attractor point" to move towards. It must be noted, this same process is what accounts for the horrible things that happen in our life, for we tend to manifest our most wonderful desires and our darkest fears.

This merging of mind and matter is why rumor can be so dangerous, because it "collapses the waveform" and crystallizes a perspective of someone or something, thereby locking an individual or a group into false and inauthentic viewpoints within the mind of the perceivers. This is also how untrue gossip spreads so easily; it "collapses the waveform" and creates and crystallizes a new morphic field of untrue information about the subject of the gossip. This new morphic field then colors the perspectives of future people that become part of the gossip pool.

The occurrence of synchronicity is a perfect instance of mind syncing with matter. This is a meaningful coincidence whereby the contents of our mind seem to bleed into the world around us. If the contents of our head determine the unfolding of physical consequences, then it behooves us all to fill our mind and being with positive and beneficent thoughts and energies, so as to manifest a harmonious and conducive environment for ourselves and those around us.

The real secret behind the western esoteric tradition, especially alchemy, is the ability of the mind to transmute oneself and the world and the conditions outside us. This is accomplished by emanating divine light and transmuting ourselves and the world around us to a higher octave of vibration. The Kabbalah, Gnostic Christianity, and Sufism all understand and utilize this occult secret. It seems that these secrets have been buried within our esoteric traditions for a long time, and it is only now rising to the surface and being rediscovered. Society is beginning to wake up and realize these long hidden secrets of our connection to the world. We are the makers of our own reality, and all the global thoughts that we have help manifest the events we encounter. There is randomness to our space-time continuum, to be sure! However, our mind adds to this randomness and helps to shape it into what we observe. We were all created as co-creators in this universe, and we are now discovering how powerful our thought really is!

It has become obvious that the world is in a state of extreme agitation and turmoil. It's as if all the prophecies of old are manifesting before our very eyes, and the planet is building up to a crescendo of unbelievable proportions. An individual can actually sense and feel this tension within the world mounting towards some sort of climax. In a very holier-than-thou way, many doomsayers are pointing to the extreme weather, geological disasters, and geo-political turmoil we are having as evidence that this is the "End-Times." Indeed, we could possibly be facing an "End-Times" scenario. Unfortunately, these doomsayers hope for and want this to be the end for all of us. They think this world is tainted and must be flushed, and they will then enter their heaven state with their chosen peers. They actually feel they are the rightful heirs to a new kingdom, and it is not reserved for anyone who doesn't believe their way. It seems many of these individuals actually thrive on the negativity forming within our world, maintaining their perspectives that are based on scriptural evidence of their sacred books, whether it is the Bible, Torah, Koran, or other book. This won't help us at all in the trying times ahead, and this is a very immature and egocentric perspective. Such is the nature of radical religious paradigms.

Many are pointing to the current events going on in the world to support their specific religious or political platforms. For instance, the hard left is pointing to all the extreme weather we have been experiencing and blaming it on just "Global Warming." This "Global Warming," which is blamed on human civilization and the extreme right wing, is the "catch-all" for some of our global problematic scenarios. Indeed, "Global Warming" may have a part to play in the overall weather patterns we have been experiencing, but it surely can not be the only culprit. In fact, if one were to actually get involved and research the topic a little bit, instead of just listening to and being coerced by political rhetoric, one would see that the Earth's weather patterns are in a state of agitation due to a connection to the sun with its increased solar activity. Actually, due to the increased solar activity and the forecast of more of it, we can expect more extreme weather, earthquakes, and volcanoes as time goes on. In truth, it is thought that the year 2012 is going to be one of the most active years for sun spots we will have ever had. This is a most intriguing fact. What could it possibly mean for us?

This is the way the Sun-Earth connection works. When there happens to be a solar flare or a CME(coronal mass Ejection) from the surface of the sun, it creates a huge wave of energy that travels vast distances and eventually collides with the Earth's magnetic field. As this happens, the earth's magnetic field reacts and contorts the envelope surrounding our planet, causing electro-magnetic disturbances, shifting the jet stream, and adding torque to our system of plate tectonics. The result is black outs, extreme weather, earthquakes, and volcanic activity. Currently, all the planets in our solar system are experiencing anomalies of one form or another. This surely can't be blamed on global warming.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to minimize the effects of this horrendous problem of global warming. It is definitely a major problem, and we need to lessen our dependency on fossil fuels and find alternative sources of energy. Unfortunately, the damage may already be done, and it may be too late to save our biosphere. We shall see. That doesn't mean we should exasperate the situation or ignore it. I just can't jump on the bandwagon and state that the problems we are facing are just the result of our oil consumption; they are not. Granted, mankind through its uncaring attitude, greed, and its slothful use of oil has decimated our biosphere and made our future survival nearly impossible. That being said, it is time we quit playing the holier-than-thou and blame game and start putting our heads together and find some solutions to our mounting global problems. It may be the prophets of old could see that we were facing a huge cataclysm, and we are only now able to collect the scientific evidence, which portends such a demise. One can't be sure; however, if we're facing such a bleak future, would it not be wise to be treating each other with the benevolent caring one would expect from spiritual creatures, trying to clean up as much karma as possible, before the sword of Damocles falls? Or do we gallop blindly into the sunset in the hypocritical and uncaring behavior we've all become accustomed to? The choice is yours to make!

Considering all the earthquakes, volcanic activity, and extreme weather we have been experiencing, it's hard not to have apocalyptic thoughts and speculate that we may be approaching the end of time. It is very telling that many cultures have prophecies and calendars that focus on our current world age. These prophecies predict that our current time will be a period of great strife and transformation; they further predict this chaos will precede the creation of a new form of mankind.

I am endeavoring to present a series of articles delineating earth changes, eschatology, and the year 2012. I will discuss the nuances of our rapidly transforming biosphere, and I will describe the advent of the noosphere, a layer of collective synchronous thought surrounding the planet. I seek to present the facts as they are, how they are related to our current outlook, and what could be on the horizon. However, I also desire to dispel the fear about our approach to this radical shift and describe what it "could" mean for us.

Why is 2012 related to the end of the world? To look at this as the "End" and not the beginning of a new cycle doesn't fit what is really happening. There are several lines of thought that point to the year 2012 as a period of radical transformation and the culmination of human history.

First of all, it is during this year that the Maya 13 baktun long-count calendar has its termination point - December 21, 2012 - the winter solstice. This 13 baktun calendar began on August 12, 3114 B.C., and its duration is 1/5 of a precession, a 26,000 year period. John Major Jenkins discovered that the 2012 end-date coincides with an alignment with the galactic center. Consequently, after 26,000 years we are completing a cycle, and we are realigning with the galactic center; this is the wake-up call for human history.

Secondly, Terence McKenna's "TimeWave Zero", which is based on the Chinese system of the I-Ching and maps the fluctuation between habit and novelty, is the other belief system which points to this date. The "TimeWave" reaches infinite novelty at the same time as the end-date of the Calendar of the Maya during late 2012. In other words, what it says is the complexity of modern life reaches it zenith on this date, and mankind enters a new phase of being. There are various other intimations and prophecies of 2012, and we will discuss them later in this series.

There is evidence to suggest that 2012 will coincide with what is expected to be a very active year for sunspots. Some predictions even state that the sun is going through a magnetic pole shift, and this pole reversal may be brought about by the extreme solar activity of 2012.

If this were to occur on the sun, it could bring about a devastating situation on the earth, including a pole shift. This pole shift on the earth may be actually occurring whether the sun shifts poles or not. One thing is for certain. The extreme weather we have been witnessing appears to be a direct influence from all the anomalous solar activity, not just the human induced "Global Warming" many are claiming.

In spite of that, it may very well be that the sun is emitting evolution altering energy, torsion-wave energy, and mutating us all into beings capable of operating in a new and higher existence. This is the perspective of several researchers; although, I don't think you will get any reductionist scientists agreeing with that. True or untrue, we should remain open-minded until we find out otherwise. Main stream science would consider this to be preposterous. We shall see; this evidence, including the extreme weather is not bogus and cannot be faked. It appears that we humans veil the unknown and uncertain in ominous imagery out of our own fear. Therefore, because we're in a time of rapid change, a disintegrating biosphere, extreme weather, and an uncertain future, the 2012 end-date takes on threatening and apocalyptic image.

On the other hand, we have others who think they have it all figured out, thinking things will remain the same as always, and that we have nothing to fear. These two perspectives are typical of human beings and get us nowhere. We need to face all of this with open yet discriminating minds, without casting doom on everything we hear and without being so self-assured that we think we have it all figured out. We need to take in the facts as they become apparent and make decisions accordingly.

Whatever the facts are, we need to be creating spiritual ideals and treating the others around us with the kindness we would like to receive, creating a positive morphic thought field and influencing the course of events in a beneficial way. This way, we will be in the best frame of mind to meet any challenges that may arise. If nothing happens, wonderful, we're all better off with our benevolent behavior!

Lately, conversation has created considerable noise about the end-date of the Mayan calendar. These discussions usually range from ideas that the calendar means nothing at all - to talks about prophecies of doom and gloom, where the calendar portends the "End" of our world from a global cataclysm. While some sort of cataclysm cannot be ruled out, there is another interpretation, one based upon academic research, which we can draw upon during these times. This perspective claims that the Mayan calendar is actually mapping the embryogenesis of our innate spiritual selves. In other words, it is a map of the divine plan for humanity and its consequent illumination. Contrary to the typical foreboding perspectives usually cast on the Mayan calendar, the information now coming to light from the rigorous research of Dr. Carl J. Calleman, from Ian Xel Lungold, and from the creation cycle itself is of hope and optimism. According to Dr. Calleman, we are to evolve to the next stage of humanity, become enlightened, and achieve oneness with God. When this occurs globally in our species, it will be the end of the world as we know it; however, this is definitely not the "END" of the world in a final sense, only the world as we "know it." Time will end, for we will move from a linear understanding of time and our localized place within the cosmos to a non-linear utilization of time and multi-dimensional operability.

It must be understood, when progressing through the creation cycle to its termination point, one does not arrive at December 21, 2012, but instead, October 28, 2011. Dr. Calleman doesn't argue with the fact that the 13 Baktun Long Count calendar has a termination point on December 21, 2012, but it his contention that the long count calendar does not properly reflect the "Shifting" energies of the "creation cycles," which featured so prominently in Mayan philosophical thought. In other words, the Long Count does not show when the "shifting energies" occur, the 9 underworlds and 13 heavens of the creation cycle do. The creation cycle comes from the dates encoded on the "Coba Stone" and is a reflection of "Sacred Time" from the beginning of the universe until now! The Mayans were not concerned with the beginning date or end-date, but they were concerned with the overall creation cycle. The Maya merely chose to begin their long count calendar on the solar zenith day, Aug. 12, 3,114 B.C., due to it being a "known" holy day with an older tradition and out of convention , even though the Long Count calendar didn't properly match up with the divine creation cycle they also utilized. The Long Count is an approximation that is within about a year of the actual creation cycle from the beginning of time until now. Consequently, Mayan scholars, by focusing on the Long Count and not the wave cycles of creation, have chosen the wrong day for the end-point for the Mayan calendar; it's not 12-21-2012, but 10-28-2011!

According to this research, we entered the second to last "underworld" of the creation cycle encoded into the Mayan calendar on January 5, 1999. This is the eighth level and is called "The Galactic Cycle." It is the next step on our way up the cosmic pyramid toward global enlightenment, and it is composed of 13 phases, each phase being 360 days long. This portion of the cycle is described by a metaphorical 7 day period and is called the days and nights of the galactic underworld. After this point, we have just one more step to go on the cosmic pyramid; it is the 9th underworld and is called "The Universal Cycle," which will begin on February 12, 2011. As happened in the previous cycle, "The Universal Cycle," will be moving 20 times faster than the current cycle." It too will be comprised of 13 phases; however, each phase will only be 20 days long.

With the synergy of the cosmic pyramid, the activity of our evolutionary changes should be intensifying, and we should be feeling ourselves beginning to wake up and come to a more harmonious state of being. Imagine huge ethereal cosmic gears based on sacred geometry clicking into place and the human soul's evolution guided by the necessity of that system. We have now crossed over the halfway point of "The Galactic Cycle," and we have just entered the fourth night of the galactic underworld. The fourth night lasts from November 29, 2005 - November 23, 2006. Based on this scheme, we can expect radical changes occurring in our personal lives. The Maya likened the days and nights of the galactic creation cycle to the growth of a plant, in that activity and new information occur by day and implementation and preparation occur at night. The main thing accomplished during the fourth night is ethical procedures are implemented. We get right our interactions with others and learn to operate that way continually. This is also a time when a plant prepares to create new life from within, such as getting ready to flower.

According to this ancient prophetic calendar, within all of our lifetimes something profound is going to occur. Using this new information and the Mayan calendar, one can sync up his or her life with the creation cycle in preparation for the ultimate shift. Dr. Calleman, in one of his articles, states that the galactic creation cycle is really the same as the popular Christian apocalypse. The meaning of apocalypse is "a revealing." Accordingly, we are going through a process of revelation and realization, as we traverse our way through the dimly lit and ominous hallway of the "End Times." What awaits us on the other side of the door at the end of the hallway?

The Maya are not the only ones foretelling of humanity's awakening and enlightenment in 2012. In fact, our awakening in 2012 is the real secret behind the western esoteric tradition, specifically alchemy. Alchemy basically delineates a process whereby something lesser is turned into something greater, the proverbial turning of lead into gold. The tradition of alchemy has shrouded three very enigmatic secrets about us and our universe, and it has revealed them only through careful decoding and analysis of its themes, stories, and monuments. The first secret is the transmutation of the lower self into the higher self through various introspective and integrative techniques. These techniques are very typical of the practices one would learn in many schools of meditation and esoteric sects; therefore, this secret can be gleaned from many of our schools of mysticism. The second is the transmutation of an external object or substance from one state to another. The turning of lead into gold is symbolic of this secret, and has only been alluded to in various esoteric teachings; consequently, it's not all that widely known as an esoteric secret.

The third and biggest of alchemy's secrets has yet to be known, as it has not yet become a revelation to the mass mind. It has only become unveiled thru the master alchemist Fulcanelli and the information encoded into The Cross of Hendaye in southern France. This cross shows how alchemy shrouds the third real secret... that time and the historical process are themselves one huge alchemical experiment with utopia and enlightenment waiting for us all at the end of time, when we realign with galactic center in 2012, thus creating the true spiritual gold of alchemy. We are all still "In the process of becoming" and have yet to manifest the quintessence of our divinity at the end. These revelations can be read about in, "The Mysteries of the Cross of Hendaye; Alchemy and the End of Time," by Jay Weidner and Vincent Bridges. This is a very complete and exhaustive study into Alchemy and how it relates to the end of time. Speaking of Jay Weidner, he has interviewed me for his next documentary movie about 2012, so I am exceedingly happy about that development. At any rate, Jay's book is an awesome source for information related to alchemy and the end of time and the big secret veiled from all of us.

Apparently, the Knights Templar learned of these secrets from Sufi prophets during the Crusades in Jerusalem, and they later codified these secrets into many of their later esoteric traditions, which evolved out of the Knights Templar and later the Freemasons and Rosicrucian brotherhood. That this secret was lost to antiquity proves how good the secret was shrouded. In those days, talk of this "Shift" in the inner, inner circles of esoteric orders made obvious to many the need for a society and nation in preparation for that shift. The Freemasonic creation of the United States of America was then undertaken, and it was tooled and shaped by the inner conclaves of the Illuminati bracing for the great shift that the Knights Templar had learned about from Sufi mystics earlier. Therefore, America is the brainchild of the Illuminati gearing up for the upcoming radical "Shift of the Ages." We are to be the nation that symbolizes the truth of a post shift world. Aside from any political views one may hold, it can definitely be seen that the principles of America, freedom, liberty, and equality, are those that one would expect in a post shift world. The Freemasons who shaped our nation were put in place by an inner esoteric tradition that was aware of the galactic alignment of 2012 and our consequent global enlightenment, and they were attempting to create a society to help inaugurate this all encompassing shift.

When one stops to ponder all the various and diverse cultures and traditions that prophesize our awakening in 2012, it becomes obvious that we are part of a system that is gaining synergy, and its component parts are about to make a quantum leap and a paradigm shift to a whole new level. I believe the universe can communicate with the individual human mind. What are the main points the universe is trying to convey? We have only 6 years left before the very significant date of 2012 rolls around. If an internal change is suppose to come forth from within us, then it's up to each and every one of us to bring forth the best of who we are. In doing so, we will manifest the spiritual gold of the historical alchemical process and enter the gates of a Utopian paradise.

Ebb and Flow, the process of Tension and Release, is the binary modality that governs much of our life and our daily experience. This seemingly primal process can be seen in the formation of our universe at the big bang, the formation of a human from the climax of love-making, to the cycle of breath retention and release that keeps are body vitalized with oxygen. This primitive process is embedded in every aspect of our life and our cosmos, as a self-similar fractal comprised of a dual urge. One urge tends toward manifestation, action, and tension; simultaneously, it is mirrored by a similar urge to release, union, and dissolution.


This cosmic dance of opposites is what the ancient mystics called Yin-Yang, Yab-Yum, Tao-Teh, Ob-Od, and Shiva-Shakti, to name just a few. It is through the mastering of these two primal forces that the meta-programmer and illuminate, modern reflections of the ancient adepts and sages, finds balance, harmony, and contentment within their personal life, while the chaotic dynamic dance and interplay of the universe rushes and whirls around them.

As our civilization rushes headlong into what appears as a moment of complete social crisis, it is important to note that this is a process in the mode of building up tension before a great release. Chaos mathematics demonstrates that as systems shift from one state to another, the transition is nearly always preceded by a short period of extreme agitation and the build up of tension. This is due to the amplification of thousands of positive and negative feedback loops within the system. As the system builds toward a moment of what seems like total lack of cohesion, the system suddenly shifts, a bifurcation occurs, and a new state of complexity and order manifests. From the now emerging records of Archeology, evolutionary theorists now know that evolution did not follow a continuous and uniform line of progress; contrary, it is now assumed that evolution proceeded by intermittent stages of stasis, juxtaposed against moments of quantum leaps and tumultuous transformations.

The archetypal forces of tension and release find some of their most practical uses in modern psychology and psychotherapy. Shamans have known for thousands of years that the build up of psychosomatic energies and then their consequent release are extremely important shamanic techniques that must be learned by the initiate, in order to rid himself of his personal demons, and to integrate his personality onto a higher level of being. Modern psychotherapy harnesses this archetypal process in the form of catharsis. As the patient moves toward a complete and integrated self, the psyche becomes balanced as it releases tightly held - pent up energy tied up in subconscious conflicts and neuroses.

This the ebb and flow of tension and release is the foundation of the big bang, our bodies, the tides, the global economy, and the mystery of birth and death. It is echoed in our blood stream, as our heart undulates between the two primal attractor points, in our breath, in waking and sleeping, and in our sex. As evolutionary biology moved up the rung of understanding, it shifted from a mechanistic reductionist view of biology and nature, toward an organic view of not only the body, but the planet as well, and will eventually invade the field of physics. The Gaia Hypothesis argues that the planet is a complete organism, just like you and me, and has a collective intelligence. That this intelligence is in the process of waking from the nightmare of history is the message of the Hopi and the Mayans.

"History is the shockwave of eschatology", is one of my favorite quotes of the late great Terence McKenna. In the same line of transcendent thinking as Lao Tse, Terence McKenna had an impeccable grasp of the innate and hidden processes of the universe, two of which have gone unnoticed and ignored by modern science, according to McKenna. Novelty Theory is just one of the jewels of wisdom left by this great Irish bard and his shamanistic visions of eternity.

Novelty Theory, a distant cousin of Chaos Dynamics and Complexity Theory stipulates that the universe is a novelty or complexity conserving engine and is ruled by two principles"

1. Simple and less complex states within the universe give rise to greater levels of complexity and ramification, which in turn gives rise to even greater levels of novel form.
2. This process of novelty begetting greater novelty occurs at a faster and faster rate, until we reach a moment of novel concrescence, a moment when novelty increases at an exponential rate.

It becomes obvious from looking at this theory that the system is moving toward a singularity, what chaos theorists call a "Strange Attractor", a dwell point. Terence McKenna calls this moment of novel concrescence, "the transcendental object at the end of time." This is a moment when all of the energy and information of 15 billion years of mounting tension and pressure, from the ingression of novelty and complexity folded in upon itself, is released in an explosive collective planetary rapture. This is what modern Transhumanists and Extropians call the "Technological Singularity." It is a singularity because it is a moment, after which, we are unrecognizable to ourselves and our definitions of reality are no longer suitable.

Terence McKenna and his brother Dennis distilled Novelty Theory from an algorithmic wave called "Timewave Zero." This time wave was formulated by mapping the Ken Wa sequence of the I-Ching. The I-Ching is composed of 64 hexagrams and is based on the binary system of yin and yang, the ebb and flow of opposites.

Timewave Zero was updated to Timewave One in 1997, after John Sheliak's analysis clarified the timewave, giving it a foothold into the halls of science as a truly genuine intellectual discipline.

The Timewave is a self-similar fractal that can be scaled to huge spans of time, such as all of space-time itself, all the way down to a minute, or an even smaller segment of time. The wave itself maps to separate poles, "Habit & Novelty." The pole of "Habit" is the habitual rote repetition of deeply worn chreodes and runnels within systems. It is the same, the familiar, the compulsive, and the instinctual. Dr. Rupert Sheldrake calls these habits of nature, "Morphic Fields", and these fields resonate in a process he calls "Morphogenetic Resonance". Every creature and plant has a field of information surrounding it. Sheldrake believes these fields contain the species memory. He contends that the acorn contains the memory of all previous oak trees and obtains this information thru "morphic resonance." Even the laws of physics are just really old and compulsive habits, according to Sheldrake. What gets stranger is to suppose that these fields not only are in resonance with the past, but are also in resonance with the future. This is where Terence's Novelty Theory and Rupert's Morphic Theory fuse seamlessly together.

In actuality, both have been great friends for many years, and along with their good friend Ralph Abrahams, a Chaos Mathematician, they have created many good ideas and have published several books together. The Ebb and Flow between the poles of "Habit" and "Novelty" in our daily lives is evident.

Many humans struggle daily to break the self-destructive grip of negative habits and addictions. Simultaneously, we are exposed to a barrage of novel events, products, relationships, moments of creativity, of clarity, of revelation, and what Maslow called, "Peak Experiences."

The application of these radical ideas, along with the sciences of chaos theory, quantum theory, and complexity theory, to the fields of Psychology and Psychopharmacology will open the way to better techniques for the integration of the personality, better models of consciousness, and better modes of living. The dominator paradigm built upon the mechanistic and reductionist model of survival of the fittest has brought our planet and our civilization to the brink of catastrophe. This dominator mode of existence has infiltrated our universities, our governments, our religions, and our businesses; even our own personal relationships are hounded by the Dominator. Everywhere one looks they can see the handprint of the Dominator.

Many of us want to point the finger and accuse a certain culture, race, or demographic of being the dominator, the "Us-Them" model. Unfortunately, the dominator has infiltrated every single one of our lives, and we all unconsciously participate in its' destructive modes of existence. The Dominator is inside each and every one of us and acts through aspects of our ego. The Dominator is the ego, the pathological state of our mind that has been forming since our great split with nature. We participate with this dominator by buying the goods that the capitalistic machines spit out, by watching the crap they shovel through our televisions and our movies. The silent majority, through its passive acceptance, keeps the power structure in place and the wheels and cogs of the dominator machine well greased.

We have all been born at a very poignant time in history. We are to be the generation that watches the release the greatest amount of planetary novelty that world has ever known. The system is in crisis. We have entered the third act. We are at the eleventh hour. How well will humans fair as this process unfolds? The answer rests in the hands of the 6 1/2 billion individuals that currently reside on this planet. The solution rests itself at the doorstep of each and ever one of us. In Chaos Theory they talk about the "Butterfly Effect." In essence, it states that a butterfly flapping its' wings in Central Park has the power to create a typhoon on the other side of the earth. Thru the power of feedback loops, the power of the butterfly's wings is amplified to exponential proportions. This being the case, each and every one of us wields unbelievable power and effect. Looked at in this light, one may begin to see the extraordinary shaping power of people acting in cooperative environments.

The complete morphogenetic field of the planet is comprised of the composite or aggregate of all the individual fields of all humans, animals, plants, and elements. The 100th monkey effect demonstrates the process whereby newly learned techniques are passed into the larger mindset of the species. Critical mass occurs at anywhere between 7-12%. Whenever any idea reaches this 7-12% threshold in the population, it is immediately passed on to the total population, as the critical mass is reached.

The power to shape reality really does rests in the hands of the few. Lao Tse, the father of Taoism, would say to move with the Tao. Although we are tossed back and forth between the poles of pleasure and pain, between habit and novelty, we are to move with grace within this ebb and flow. We have divided ourselves into neuroses and now stand stiff and rigid against the forces of change. We would do well to listen to the wise words of the ancient sage, and to move with the ebb and flow of Tao and Teh, of habit and novelty, without resisting. The system is in process. We are, therefore, a masterpiece in the making. How well we do will be determined by the decisions each end every one us makes.

Trying to steer reality at this point may seem like a futile attempt, and a narcissistic one at that. Yet, it would seem to me that before Nanotechnology, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence show up on the stage, we better get right with ourselves. For if we do not, we will impart to these godlike creations our own innate dominator mentality, and that, my friends, would be our last act. We must not panic, we cannot act hastily, yet undeniably we must prepare. Some futurists place the technological singularity out as far as 2030. I cannot see us sustaining this system another 27 years at the rate we are going.

It is interesting; Terence McKenna's Timewave reaches maximum novelty on Dec. 21, 2012. This is the same exact day that the Mayans end their great 13 Baktun long count calendar. For, on that day the world will end and will be created anew, what the Mayans call "Creation Day - One Hunahpu", according to the Mayans

Whether we see this great transition in 2012, 2020, 2030, or even 2050 is still undecided. However, one thing is for certain, the halls of science, business, and government are now echoing with the words, "Technological Singularity", and many are very concerned.

Our days are the final stages of a planetary process that began millions of years ago. We are moving rapidly toward what Whitehead called, "Novel Concrescence." So, relax, fasten your seatbelt, and get ready for a wild ride into the novel waves of the future frontier.

With the convenience of modern telecommunications and cyber technology, it is now possible to interact and communicate with anyone in the world instantly. The distance gap between people has been closed and now brain can speak to brain directly. Vast webs of knowledge are now being created through the collaborative sharing of ideas. The many nodes and interconnections of this global network are rapidly increasing and proliferating throughout society. Many speculate that this super network is the central nervous system of the burgeoning global brain. According to futurists, this sheath of technology covering the planet, this technosphere, is the material basis of the now awakening Noosphere, earth's mental envelope or field. The word noosphere derives from the Greek "noos", or "nous", and means mind, while "Sphere", or "spheria," of course means globe. It is therefore the globe of thought, and includes all knowledge of collective humanity. This is a similar to Carl Jung's collective unconscious.

The Noosphere can be thought of as the complete and assimilated morphogenetic field of the planet, the integration of all knowledge ecologies. Decades before the advent of the internet and long before the World Wide Web, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a Jesuit priest and paleontologist, promoted the idea of the Noosphere. Chardin said, "We are faced with a harmonized collectivity of consciousnesses to a sort of superconciousness. The earth not only becoming covered by myriads of grains of thought, but becoming enclosed in a single thinking envelope, a single unanimous reflection... for... no one can deny that a network (a world network) of economic and psychic affiliations is being woven at ever increasing speed which envelops and constantly penetrates more deeply within each of us. With every day that passes it becomes a little more impossible for us to act or think otherwise than collectively." These seemingly prophetic words take on substantive evidence when we consider how modern man is inextricably connected to each other through a sprawling global information network that is increasing its interconnectivity and bandwidth daily. Is it possible that our machines and scientific insights are moving society towards the attractor that Chardin called the "Omega Point", a technological/spiritual singularity?


The Biosphere


According to Chardin and the Russian scholar and biologist Vladimir Ivanovich Verdansky, the planet is in a transformative process, metamorphosizing from the biosphere into the noosphere. The biosphere - literally the sphere of life - is the region for the transformation of cosmic energy on earth. It is a thin membrane or envelope of life which covers the crust of the earth, including oceanic basins, mountain ranges, and areas of the atmosphere where life is found. It is complex evolving form that is adaptive to external and internal forces and can be thought of as a homogenous entity or whole system. Verdansky defined the biosphere as,"the single greatest geologic force on earth, moving, processing, and recycling several billion tons of mass a year. It is the central subsystem of a centralized cybernetic system, Earth, which tends towards a dynamic disequilibrium and tremendous internal diversity."


Through accelerated biochemical combustion and the release of "free energy", the biosphere has become a major geological shaping force within nature, extruding the sprawling technosphere. This artificial technosphere will culminate eventually in the awakened noosphere, the sphere of thought and its collective intelligence. According to Verdansky, the noosphere is currently surrounding the earth, yet it remains unconscious and operating on habit. When it becomes fully conscious it will invoke a new field of awareness with new possibilities and new horizons. Chardin believes that the concept of the New Jerusalem in the bible is a reflections of this world beyond history.


Verdansky termed this transformative phase in biospheric evolution the "Psychozoic Era." This is an era in geologic time when the biosphere becomes a major shaping force on the planet, extending all of its primary functions by use of mechanical devices.


The Techno Sphere


The transition form the biosphere to the noosphere takes place through an intermediary stage called the technosphere. The technosphere is the artificial sheath of technology that emerged from the biosphere and now encircles the globe. It is atransitional stage and is the mechanism and catalyst whereby the noosphere comes into being. The technosphere is comprised of the global financial markets and the military-industrial complex with their globe girding information network. Due to the release of large amounts of chemicals and radiation by the activity of technosphere, the biosphere has entered a phase of biochemical combustion. This is an "acceleration of biogenic migration of atoms precipitating biospheric crisis as a prelude to the advent of the noosphere; characterized by exponential curves of human population, machine, and money at the expense of biospheric integrity and stability," as stated by Dr. Jose Arguelles. In geological time, man's brief race from the jungle to the cities represents only a flash in the galactic pan; however, these several thousand years represent the emergence of man with his newly found information technologies from the misty background of animal organization.


If we look back through history we see the thread of progressive thought that leads from the African grasslands of our archaic past to the data clusters of information that we call cyberspace. The first major breakthrough in interconnectedness came with the advent of verbal language. This represented a major breakthrough for the biosphere, for then we not onlt knew the contents of our own mind, but also the contents of anothers through communication. The shared knowledge base of the tribe formed and grew considerably. Now there existed a field of knowledge that could be accessed by most members of the tribe. This, in addition to a primitive tool technology, extended our physical force over nature and greatly aided the developed the human species, giving them an exponential edge over the rest of the animal kingdom.


The next major development came with the written word and its trans-temporal ability to convey knowledge. Both written and oral language gave us the ability to shift from the genetic selection of the past into to the epigenetic phenomena of writing, philosophy, music, and poetry, the fabric of culture. Language allowed us to transform from biological evolution to mental evolution. Whole systems of thought began to form and flourish throughout the world. The accelerated growth of knowledge was fueled by several inventions, most notably, the printing press. With the advent of the printing press in the 15th century, previously ardous handwritten documents could now be churned out for the masses by mechanical means, greatly expanding and ramifying information. The interconnectedness and proliferation of knowledge intensified as the age of reason began to dawn.


With the advent of the industrial revolution merged with the discoveries in science in the 19th and early 20th century, mankind leaped forward into a multimedia explosion of information, through radio, television, telephones, movies and photographs. Information and knowledge was growing now at a phenomenal rate and began to gain tremendous momentum. The military industrial complex and global financial markets fueled the spread of the techno sheath, the membrane that would aggrandize into the technosphere in the second half of the 20th century.


According to Dr. Jose Arguelles, the technosphere was heralded by the Atomic blast at Hiroshima, marking the birth of the now complete technosphere and the beginning of the cold war. Since 1945, the technosphere has spread over the earth like a progressive cancer, promoting its globalist agenda wherever it found new resources. Thus is the nature of the artificial stage of the technosphere, which appears as a consumptive destructive marketing machine. Thus we find ourselves today in a nihilistic trance, confounded by the myriad of global issues facing our species. It only requires scanning the evening news to be quickly reminded of the fact that time seems to be running out for Homo sapiens. It's always darkest before the dawn, they say! Enter Homo Sapien Cyberneticus!!!


Omega Point and the Noosphere


Chardin saw the awakening of the noosphere as a complete unification of materiality and spirituality hastened by what he called the Omega Point. He defined the Omega Point as, "the climatic convergent point of human evolution as the emergence of the hyper personal." This is a point of full super conscious global telepathy. The Omega Point is the culmination and integration of all forms of art, philosophy, culture, and science into a coherent dynamic singularity. Chardin explains, "Someday, after we have mastered the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love. Then, for the second time in the history of the world, [hu]mankind will have discovered fire." He goes on further to say, "By its structure Omega, in its ultimate principle, can only be a distinct Center radiating at the core of a system of centers; a grouping in which the personalization of the All and personalizations of the elements reach their maximum, simultaneously and without merging, under the influence of a supremely autonomous focus of union." Will the coming mind grids of the future bring us into a cybernetic spiritual focus? From the viewpoint of many futurists and transhumanists we are well on our way.


Chardin placed the influence of evolution over that of entropy. Despite the ever gnawing grind of entropy, information has coalesced itself in our species and has been carried forward through our information technologies. Now it appears that information is on the verge of transforming itself, as well as our species along with it. Transhumanists believe this is the dawning of the God-Man, Homo Sapien Cyberneticus, the co creator of a new and more complex technological/spiritual universe. Chardin would agree. He considered evolution as a series of steps leading to greater and greater layers of complexity. This is very similar to Terence McKenna's novelty theory, based off of Alfred White Northhead's mathematical concepts of novel concrescence. Chardin contended that man represents a force in opposition to entropy. His Omega Point envisioned the space time continuum as a cone, in which the point is the outcome of evolutionary intent, the eschaton, omega, the divine.


For Chardin, the noosphere was the all, a dynamic mosaic of all culture merged into the hyper personal image of the god self, the next stage of our evolution. Modern skeptics argue that the noosphere is just a metaphysical explanation of today's global network, and there is nothing spiritual about it. However, this interpretation doesn't seem to fit with modern experience. According to many modern futurist, the global Gaian mind is being hardwired by the internet and fueled by nodes of spiritual thought, of both futuristic and archaic flavors.


Concerning the noosphere, Philip K . Dick writes, "due to the incredible surge of charge from our electronic signals and information rich material therein, we have given it power to cross a vast threshold; we have, so to speak, resurrected what Philo and other ancients called the Logos. Information has, then, become alive..."


According to Niel Freer, "We are at far more of a "turning point" than even the one Capra envisions; in possession of far more of a "web of reinforcement" than Baines could hope for; the morphogenetic-field potential is far higher than Sheldrake predicts; the groundswell documented by Ferguson is about to become a tsunami, with a capability to take the planet off hold and will close the "vision gap" in a way that is perhaps more comprehensive than conceived by Barbara Marx Hubbard."


According to developmental psychologists, an embryo's brain develops in two stages. The first stage is a multiplying of cells; the second is the proliferation of interconnectedness of those cells. Realizing that it requires about 10 billion neurons to comprise a human brain, as the world nears 10 billion people has the first stage of the global brain formed, and now the second stage of interconnectedness commenced? As the technosphere spreads across the earth wrecking havock in its wake, and the global networks hum with the interchange of data bits, the embryonic collective mind stirs in its slumber waiting for the proper moment to announce its awakening.

Part three in a series of articles discusiing integrative maodels and proceedures. This section deals with Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalytic Theory The Psychoanalytic schools of the twentieth century attempted to bring the psyche under the dominion of various maps and models, whereby the personality could be gauged, studied, and integrated. The psychological theories of Freud, Jung, Maslow, Assigoli, and Leary paved new roads in our understanding of the over all structure of the mind. Great theories and therapies flourished; unfortunately, not all of these theories were readily accepted by society or the government. Books by Wilhelm Reich, with his brilliant theories and technologies, were burned by masses out of fear and through governmental oppression.

Timothy Leary and his successful psychedelic research were banned by the Federal Government. It is no big secret that psychological space is a very restricted and policed environment. Only socially sanctioned spaces are allowable; anything outside of that is forbidden, and violators are severely punished. The time has come for us take back our innate power and enter the world of mind, opening ourselves up to the intricacies and latent worlds within. Freud introduced society to the unconscious and libido; Jung called attention to the archetypes, synchronicity and the collective unconscious; Reich unveiled the function of the orgasm, while Maslow revealed the call of self actualization, and Timothy Leary brilliantly outlaid the eight-circuits of consciousness. All of these great thinkers, along with countless others, made up the psychological revolution of the twentieth century. This revolution brought us new tools to help awaken the metaprogrammer within, allowing for the complete reprogramming of consciousness. However, towards the close of the twentieth century, the rise in influence of the school of behaviorism and physiological psychology beat out the depth psychology of the past. These new psychologists have banished the esoteric psychotherapies to history, opting instead to medicate their patients into mental slavery. Although most of the following psychological models are no longer used in the psychiatric community, they still hold powerful keys for the unlocking of the self and tools for total integrative unfoldment.

Sigmund Freud - Personality and the Unconscious

Sigmund Freud's theories of personality are the best known of all psychological theories and the most controversial as well. Freud compared his rebellious theories to that of Copernicus and Darwin in their irereverence. It was Freud who asserted that "reason does not rule behavior". It was his supposition that unconscious psychological forces were a strong force affecting individual thought and behavior. He stated that these forces originate in the emotions of childhood and continue to affect an individual throughout their lifetime. In his view, man was driven by primal instincts of the unconsciousness, and it was these instincts that lead to our greatest achievements, as well as to our worst side, like poverty, war, crime and mental illness. Freud postulated three levels of mind: the conscious mind, the preconscious mind, and the unconscious mind. He felt that our conscious mind only accounted for a small portion of the totality of the self, and the vast unconscious mind accounted for the rest.

According to Freud, much of the unconscious content that affects us is made up of inherited primal fantasies based on phylogenic experiences, that is fantasies that are species based, not individual based. For example, he refers to a "primal horde", in which a group of young males rebel against the alpha male, the one who controlled all the women. Upon killing him and taking the women, the men experience guilt and shame. This is the basis of male guilt and according to Freud is the root of his Oedipus complex.

Freud's main interests lay in understanding how personal experience shaped and formed the unconscious mind. It was his assertion that this formative pressure occurred through a process known as repression. Freud's "hedonic hypothesis" stipulated that people seek pleasure and avoid pain. Repression, therefore, is the removal of unpleasant thoughts from awareness. In order to better describe the inherent desire of the unconscious to seek expression, and the conscious mind's effort to hold back the unconscious, Freud introduced the concepts of the id, ego, and the super-ego.

The id is primarily concerned with biological drives and survival and is nearly always unconscious. It operates by the pleasure principle and is hedonistic, that is, it seeks to satisfy urges and reduce tensions. Freud theorized that the id is the structure of the mind that is responsible for the psychic sexual energy known as libido. The libido is the force and motivation behind much of our personality and can be transformed from its primal aspect into higher aspects of humanity. In fact, all works of art, architecture, and music are the result of transformed libido. This psychic force, Freud divided into two types, Eros, the life instinct, and Thanatos, the death instinct. It was from Thanatos energy that suicidal urges and self destructive behaviors emerged. Eros, of course, is the force behind romantic love and the survival of the species.

The Ego is the structure of the personality that brings about a sense of unity of person. It is the part of the mind that is in contact with the objective world. It operates by the "reality principle"; it understands the real world and uses logic and reasoning to operate within it. The ego is adaptive and able to learn quickly to the changing circumstances outside the personality. It is able to delay self gratification, which is termed "secondary process". A strong ego is necessary for survival, and to stave off the onslaught of unconscious negative emotions that would be paralyzing otherwise. Therefore, contrary to much esoteric literature, a strong healthy ego is a must for inner exploration.

While the ego is the part of the mind that deals with reality on a pragmatic level, the super-ego is the structure of the mind that is the representative for the rules and ideals of family and society. It generates feelings of guilt when we act in a way not in accordance with our higher ideals. Due to the fact that the super-ego forms in childhood, it is a very juvenile and rigid moral system. Freud believed mature ethics are not derived from the super-ego, but the ego. Due to the fact that these three structures do not normally exist peacefully, much psychic energy is used by the ego to keep the unconscious repressions at bay.

The more psychic energy that is used in inner conflicts, the less a person has for daily activities. The problem with our current state of being now becomes apparent. We are operating with deficient energy systems; our psychic force is being over allocated to our inner conflicts. In its dealing with the psychic conflict of the unconscious, the ego utilizes several strategies, or defense mechanisms, to alleviate this pressure. These defense mechanisms are the basis for much of our maladaptive behavior and lack of integration in society. In effect, the ego utilizes these mechanisms as release valves for psychic pressure. By masking the unconscious urge as something else, the urge is allowed to surface without awakening the guilt of the super-ego.

There are nine defense mechanisms that Freud delineated and all them begin their process through the repressing of socially unacceptable impulses into the unconscious. Denial is the most primitive of the defense mechanisms and occurs when an individual will not acknowledge the repressed feeling at all. This can often lead to nervous breakdown and very bad health. Reaction formation is another primitive defense, where the unacceptable impulse is repressed and its opposite is developed in an exaggerated form. An example of reaction formation would be an instance where an employee hates their boss and represses that urge, only to then exhibit overly exaggerated admiration or love for them. Projection is the third mechanism whereby the repressed content is projected out onto another person. This mechanism is a major force behind racism and prejudice. Displacement is the mechanism whereby the repressed primitive urge is displaced onto another object or person. The kick the dog syndrome is a perfect example of this mechanism. The fifth defense mechanism is identification and is the process of borrowing or merging one's identity with another person's. This other person is a complete symbol of the repressed content. Isolation is another mechanism in which thoughts related to some unpleasant occurrence are disassociated from thinking and, therefore, do not come into mind. Rationalization is, of course, the mechanism whereby the repressed content is allowed to emerge; however, these actions are explained away through plausible, yet false, rationalizations. This mechanism involves relatively little distortion of the original content; consequently, it is a somewhat mature defense mechanism. Intellectualization is the eighth mechanism that Freud defined for dealing with psychic distress. In intellectualization, the mechanism is very similar to rationalization; however, in this defense the impulse is covered up thru lengthy and elaborate intellectual games. This again is a more evolved mechanism than the primitive mechanisms listed above, but the content is still not seen for what it really is. The most desirable and healthy way of dealing with unacceptable impulses is through sublimation. Sublimation is the process whereby the individual finds socially acceptable objects for the expression of unacceptable impulses. This allows an indirect discharge of the pent up impulses, while leading to constructive and socially approved behavior. Great works of art for instance usually represents the sublimated libido. Surgery is the sublimation of more violent urges, and competitive athletics is also the sublimation of aggressive urges. In moving toward an integrated self and positive self image, it is vital that an individual realize these processes and begin to uncover the hidden motives and agendas behind the defenses. Only through the unraveling of these behavior games and mechanisms is the unconscious merged and assimilated into the collective image of the Self.

Another big point in Freud's psychoanalytical model is the focus of the libido onto various body regions during the early stages of personality development. This development involves a series of conflicts between the individual, who wants to satisfy urges, and the civilized world, which seeks to constrain these urges. In the process of development, the individual finds ways to obtain as much hedonic gratification as possible, given the constrained environment it finds itself in.

Freud's supposition was that the various mucous membranes, the erogenous zones, are the source of the id impulses and where the libido centers itself. These zones are highly reactive to sensation and are associated with increased tension and then a release of that tension. These zones are active at different stages of development. In the adult, the erogenous zone is fixated in the genitals. During the development of the child the libido moves and shifts to various zones. As the child grows and develops, it moves from the oral stage in infancy, to the anal stage for early toddler, on to the phallic stage for somewhat older children. At this point the libido recedes and the child enters a latency period. Once the child has entered puberty, and everything has progressed in a normal fashion, then the libido is transferred outside the body and onto another person. Each stage of the libidos movement represents a new conflict between the child and society. This crisis point is navigated as the personality develops, finding new strategies to cope with the frustrations imposed by socialization. If this socialization is too severe or too shocking, then the young ego cannot cope, and the personality develops unbalanced. These early traumatic events can lead to fixations where the impulse is severely repressed, rather than outgrown. The libido becomes fixed at one of the various stages, and the individual carries this fixation into adulhood. This fixation leads to the well known personality types of the oral passive character and the anal aggressive character.

Although Freud's psychoanalytical theory is by no means the only model of the personality, it is a model that we still use when considering the psyche. Through this model, we can understand the dynamics of our unconsciousness and the repressed content and conflicts contained within. It gives us a clear lens with which to peer into the caverns of our mind, uncovering the past hurts and conflicts that take away from an authentic and integrated life. As these conflicts and repressions are uncovered, and the latent energies within them unleashed, the higher self can absorb this stolen and locked away energy, turning it into useful ambition and willpower. When the bottled up pressure of the unconscious mind is released in a constructive way, the personality can assimilate these forces and walk more steadily and calmly toward pure contentment.

The dualistic nature of our universe sets the stage for the many rifts that form in our own mind, as well as the neurosis that we experience in our modern culture. The Us-Them, Light-Dark, and Good-Bad dichotomies are constantly pulling us back into a dualist mindset. The meta-programmer, the wise man, and the shaman have all learned the mental techniques whereby the fusion of opposites is assimilated into a higher synthesis of wholeness. This gnosis does not come easy; however, it is through consistent practice in mindfulness, and moving with the Tao that we progress on the path of integration and completion. These states of mind are engineered by the meta-programmer, who rewires the lower circuits of consciousness to his liking. This is the silent watcher within that is in the world, but not of it. Every moment is a test, for the binary forces unceasingly accost us, attempting to pull us into division and suffering. Only by yielding to the moment and abiding in the now, does master achieve success.

Kashmir Shaivism - Its all Shiva

Analogous to the integrative concepts of Taoism is the concept of Shaivism. Shaivism, however, posits a deity, where Taoism does not. Kashmir Shaivism, or Trika Shaivism, formulated around 900 A.D. in an area that is now the state of Kashmir, in the northwestern section of India. Shaivism is a pure monotheistic religion that arose in a climate of dualistic thought that pervaded the Kashmir region at that time. Kashmir Shavism is the most integrative of all religions. All aspects of ones reality are subsumed in the ideal of Shiva/Shakti, or ParamaShiva. This is the dynamic unity of all things. Shaivites see no distinction between themselves and the universe, all is a dynamic divine play of the dancing of Shiva and his lover Shakti. Shiva represents pure consciousness, unadulterated by color, size, texture and description. Shakti represents the force and allure of manifestation, herself being just the outer garment of Shiva. Together, their love embrace creates the cosmos. These two polarities are the identical pair of yin-yang, male-female that we experience in many other mystical paths. This couple holds archetypal positions within the recesses of our mind, masking themselves in layers of cultural and religious symbology.

By living out of balance with these forces, society has become lopsided, and now the pendulum is about to swing in the other direction. As individuals, and as a society, it becomes a matter of survival and integrity to bring these aspects of our self back into awareness and proper balance, thereby integrating ourselves and healing the community at large. The shaivites create no dissonance between themselves and the world; they see Shiva in all things, whether it be the holy man, the dog, or the dung. This is not the same as Pantheism, although similar, Shaivism implies an oneness with god, with what can best be called a Dynamic Stillness. This is pure being in the process of becoming, the highest level of self-realization. Shaivism gives us a pragmatic guide to the art of life, because all diversities are merged into one unity. Therefore, instead of repression, negativity, and denial, it celebrates the human condition and the beauty of the world around us. It sees everything as God, since god is everything. It is very infuriating to watch the dualistic oppressions of the western Judeo-Christian mind consistently locking the world into its good-evil dynamic, this stems from a denial of their own jeckle-hyde complex. When we learn that the recesses of the shadow and the self are one in the same, then we will be one step closer towards the reification of the holistic self, the one that sits as a dynamic totality, sovereign unto itself.

Thelema Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law

At the very beginning of the twentieth century, the magickal revival was in full thrust. Groups like the Theosophical Society and the Golden Dawn woke the dormant cells of the divine genius within the collective unconsciousness. From the Golden Dawn emerged a man who would change the face of mysticism forever. Aleister Crowley brought forth his Law of Thelema and set a tidal wave in motion into the twentieth century.

The Law of Thelema was a very libertarian religious ideal, one that promoted individual liberty, life, light and expression of the inner will. Thelema in Greek means will, and by Greek qabbalistic gematia it equals the number 93, which is an esoteric symbol for the true will of man. The formula for the law of thelema is a two part formula. The first part of the formula states, Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law. The second part cites, Love is the Law, Love under Will. The word Love in Greek is Agape, which by Greek qabbala again equals 93. 93 is the formula whereby an initiate integrates the entirety of his being into a point of Will, at point which is one in the same with Love. True Love and True Will are identical, once oneness with the dynamically evolving universe is achieved.

Following on the willful love of life that the Kashmir Shavites display, the law of Thelema calls the soul to divine action, whatever that action may be. Therefore it is the duty of every Thelemite to rid himself of the impediment of inner conflicts and complexes and the discover the true will. To live by the Law of Thelema, one cannot be split into one sided judgments and opinions, for everything is a manifestation of the divine will. In actuality, Shavism and Thelema are nearly identical models; both contain the ultimate dichotomy of the yin-yang resolved into the bliss of Dynamic Stillness. With Thelema, the Shiva/Shakti dichotomy is replaced by the Hadit/Nuit conjunction, which derives from the ancient pantheon of Egypt. To engage the True Will is to embark on The Great Work, which is to resolve your will and that of the universe into fused alloy of blissful intent. It must be stressed, this state is not a resolution into nothingness, this is a resolution into a Dynamic Stillness, what the ancient kabbalists called the negative veils of existence, the Ains. To describe this state as Nothing would do it injustice, more aptly it should be called NO-THING. This again is the state of pure being in the process of integrative becoming. The universal intent is integrative; the universal intent seeks closure. Therefore, you being an expression of universal intent, you too seek closure and integration, and our bodies and minds are wired perfectly to carry out that transformation.

The Shaman The Trickster The Meta-programmer

As each person moves forward in their own process of introspection, it is important to have a mental role model and archetype to fashion oneself after. This mental idealization of the self should be capable of handling the often confusing and chaotic content of the unconscious mind. The mental image and spiritual essence of the shaman, the seeker and voyager within, is the archetypal psychonaught par excellence. The shaman is the great agent of evolution. He is the primal current behind the wise man, the medicine woman, and the voodoo doctor. His way is through mischief, humor, and trickery. He tricks himself and others until they all see the treasures within. It is the shaman who enters the great sea of the collective mind and brings back strange and unusual gems of wisdom, from the unconscious deepest levels of the self. In ancient times he was called by many names: Hermes, Mercury, Thoth, Tubalcain, and Mescalito. He is the great Elvin healer and integrator, and it is through his vision that the rifts in the social fabric of the community are mended into abundance and celebration. He is the bringer of technology, mysticism and knowledge, and therefore is a guide to unify the personality and the soul. The meta-programmer is the new cyber-shaman, a neuro-tech psychonaught who is outfitted with science, technology and multiple reality maps to navigate the circuits of his own neurological space.(Meta-programming and the eight circuits of consciousness will be fully discussed in a later sections of this series.) The goal is integration and completion through the medium of shamanic ecstatic trance. Jonathan Ott, obviously familiar with the shamans trance, says that, Shamanic ecstasy is the real "Old Time Religion," of which modern churches are but pallid evocations. Shamanic, visionary ecstasy, the mysterium tremendum, the unio mystica, the eternally delightful experience of the universe as energy, is a sine qua non of religion, it is what religion is for! There is no need for faith, it is the ecstatic experience itself that gives one faith in the intrinsic unity and integrity of the universe, in ourselves as integral parts of the whole; that reveals to us the sublime majesty of our universe, and the fluctuant, scintillant, alchemical miracle that is quotidian consciousness.

The Shadow - Our name is Legion, for we are many

In searching for the Holy Grail, the pinnacle of self-realization, it vital that any worthy meta-programmer face the Shadow in order to assimilate all the fractured aspects of the self. In hermetic lore, this shadow is called the Dweller on the threshold or the Doppelganger. It lies lurking within the dark quarters of the mind where the million voices of the sub-personalities screams in discontent. The layer of consciousness that most of us call the coherent I is in reality just the surface layer the deeper seething stratum of sub personalities. These sub-selves are comprised of archetypal forces, desires, aversions, and childhood neurosis. Each of these sub-personalities competes for attention in order that it may fulfill its own mission. Many of these subconscious impulses are in total opposition to each other; consequently, this many faced mental demon locks up vital personal energy in hundreds of toilsome inner conflicts. These pockets of conflict, like deep infections, manifest on the surface of the personality in crude in disgusting forms, stealing the vital energy and awareness of the self like a vampire. It is the goal of the meta-programmer and shaman to unloose these inner complexes, releasing the locked up energy to be utilized and integrated by the self. Each time a complex is brought to the surface and its energy released, then self organizes on a higher level and moves closer toward integration and enlightenment. This act is the liberation of the self from the oppressive grip of a nihilistic shadow.

The Shadow forms during the process of individuation and the formation of the ego. Everything the ego does no identify with, it casts into the shadow. Over the years this shadow gets filled with everything the ego shuts out. At some point, all this pent up pressure creates distresses in the personality, leading to negative behavior, emotional problems, and bad health. Although the Shadow contains the nasty and the ugly aspects of us, it also contains all the wonderful things and ideas that we do not individually identify with. The poet, the mystic, the shaman are usually dormant in the average person, and therefore lies in the shadow. Through the Eclectic Paths to Integration Series, I will discuss safe and effective techniques for bringing the shadow into awareness and assimilating it in to the consciousness of the self. For nearly 2000 years, the shadow has been kept locked in the recesses of our unconsciousness where it was labeled as the boogey man. Now it is time to open up the windows and let the light of awareness illuminate the shadows and reveal the contents inside. In that search we may find pain, horror, and sorrow, but we will also find secret trails that lead to the Holy Grail. In Dantes, Divine Comedy, when he finds himself lost within the forest, the only path back to paradise is to descend into the pit and observe the shadows. Once he had traversed the depths, only then was he able to climb to the summit and experience perfection. Such is the nature of the path.

The convoluted path that leads to the integration and illumination of the soul and personality is often a daunting, yet rewarding, undertaking, simultaneously riddled with pitfalls of despair and plateaus of bliss. To tread this path is one of the highest aspirations an individual can have, second only to the desire to help others on this path. The hermeticists call it the The Great Work - The Buddhists call it the path to Nirvana The school of dialectics defines it as the synthesis of the thesis and the antithesis Carl Jung defined it as the process of individuation with the reintegration of the shadow.

Despite what we call it, the knowledge of personal integration has been with mankind since the beginning, and it is reflected in many of our religions, philosophies, and sciences. Countless traditions and schools of philosophy have left invaluable gems of wisdom, in the form of models, techniques, and spiritual disciplines. These are the gems whereby one may achieve the total apotheosis of life and create harmony within ones reality. I am not talking about escapist techniques to avoid responsibility. I am talking about techniques and modes of thought that reach deep down inside the self and reorder the basic components of the soul, shaping the personality into a stable and eloquent structure. A personality that is fully capable and willing to meet the challenges of our modern civilization. The techniques and models I shall be discussing in this series of articles come from an eclectic assortment of integrative processes, derived from many ancient and modern sources. With these various powerful techniques and models, one may begin to align the personality with the soul and the divine mind beyond, reestablishing an authentic existence and imbuing life with an artistic ambience.

Models & Metaphors

Before getting started, I want to make the point that the models and metaphors used in this series of articles are only some, among the many thousands, for describing reality. We have entered the post-modern, deconstructionist, era; we now realize no single model contains the entire blueprint of truth. Whether we describe reality in terms of Newtonian physics, quantum physics, chaos theory, Christian ideology, Buddhistic philosophy, Taoism, or shamanism, we are merely choosing one looking glass, among many, to view reality. In truth, each model has its own unique knowledge to yield. Therefore, the true metaprogrammer may utilize any and all models in their acquisition of truth and integration of the self. Just remember, The map is not the territory!

Centers of Force

To begin with, I want to start by discussing two ancient metaphorical systems that describe reality in terms of a standing wave comprised of distinct internal resonant frequencies. That is to say, a system that describes our universe and ourselves as layers of vibratory frequency, much like the mathematical properties of music, color and light. The two systems that best describe reality in these terms are the Kabalistic Tree of Life, the Otz Chim, which comes to us via the mysticisms of Judaism. The other system is the ancient Aura Vedic chakra system, which came down through Hinduism and the culture of India. These two ancient systems of self work and initiation hold very powerful keys for unlocking greater awareness of the self and deeper introspection. They reveal both the demonic and the divine within, while allowing us to fuse these inherent opposites into a coherent holographic unity. Thus one can rid the self of its own fractured neurotic nature. Both systems rely on a metaphorical map consisting of individual meridians of energy or centers of emotion. One can think of this map as laid out over a vertical line running down the center of the body. Embedded along this line of force are several vortices, or centers, of dynamic energy. These centers, which in the Kabbala are called sephira and in Hinduism are called chakras or marmas, can be thought of as emotional points of ingress and egress.

Each system has its own unique way of describing these meridians and their locations, but the important point of commonality is the actual energy points located at the head, throat, heart, stomach, and groin. These systems diverge on two points, one being the placement of the bottom energy center, the other being the number of actual emotional energy center within the system. The Hindu Chakra system is comprised of 7 chakras that span from the top of the head to the base of the spine, at the groin. The kabbalistic system is comprised of 5 sephira along the middle pillar, located at the head, throat, heart, groin and feet. Both systems are completely functional, and it is a matter of choice which system you choose to work with. Both systems can also be incorporated into a system of self-integration simultaneously, if that is your will; it is really up to the student. I have watched many people experience much cognitive dissonance trying to make the systems match up perfectly. Its important to remind oneself that these are merely models and metaphors for dealing with subtle states of consciousness, not the actual states them self. It seems obvious that both of these systems are left over fragments from a much older unified system of self-initiation, one that was nearly lost to antiquity. One must not get caught up in the philosophical trap of trying to identify these centers as real or imaginary. Suffice is to say, they work as a metaphorical map for the integration of un-harmonized personal energy and emotion. In actuality, these Chakras, or centers of force, are the emotional analogs to the organs of our endocrine system. To emphasize again, these systems are comprised of a hierarchy of energy centers within the body. The important note being to identify the higher centers, such as the third eye or head charka with thoughts of gnosis, God, or the divine, while considering the lower centers as denser and associated with ecstasy, matter, and manifestation. The lower centers, or sexual generative centers, were originally considered to be the points where cosmic energy manifested on the material plane, only later to be associated with evil, darkness, and sin by the unintegrated puritanically repressed. Between the head and the base, or foundation, lies the conjunction point, the heart. It is the heart where manifestation and divinity come together; we define this state of consciousness as pure Love. One can consider these systems as operating like the individual instruments of a symphony. When these centers of vibration are in tune, we experience happiness, contentment, and harmony; however, when these chakras are out of vibratory balance, a cacophony of dissonant energy is the result, much like the disordered energy of our modern culture. As the Hopi say, Koyaanisqatsi, life out of balance.

It is these centers of force, these energies that we experience, that we define as our self. These dynamic patterns of energy are the root of our moods, attitudes, desires, and fears. They are the source of divine inspiration and gnosis, as well as the source of destructive tendencies and megalomania. Depending on how these centers are harmonized, we either function content or otherwise. In fact, we all are already well aware of these emotional meridians within our own body and how they react to various situations. Have you ever felt the tugging sadness deep in one's throat at the loss of someone close? Everyone has felt the warmth of love, within the heart, when youre next to someone you love. How about the gnawing jealousy or fear in your belly at the thought of an unfaithful lover? Or, the sensual ecstasy that forms in the lower centers when engaged in intimacy. There is also the moment that realization dawns, and it feels like a light has gone off in the head. All of these feelings are expressions of the musical dynamic interplay of the totality of the self. Unfortunately, most of us have never learned how to tune our own instrument. We will return to the energy meridians later.

The Middle Way

Life operates on the formula of give and take. As we float down the river of life between the shores of pleasure and pain, we each receive the gifts and the losses of the universal intent. We have all experienced sadness and deep regret, as well as the bliss and happiness of our joyous moments, and we will continue to experience this ebb and flow of pleasure and pain within our lives. However, there is another mode of being, whereby one takes control of their own vessel and learns to steer it calmly and serenely toward a course of pure contentment, no longer a victim of circumstance. Yes, the outside influences of pleasure and pain will still be persist; only now, the individual has the ability to keep them self balanced, stable, and on course. It was the great Gautama Buddha that taught the middle way. He began his life in pure luxury, shielded from the pains and toils of the world. Upon learning about sickness, old age, and death, he renounced his luxury and took up an ascetic life for many years, avoiding all sustenance and thinking that his self-torment was the true path to liberation. However, one day while meditating with his disciples he heard a distant voice speaking of a musical instrument, If the string is too tight it will break, if it is too loose it will not play. Upon hearing this, a great realization dawned on Gautama, and he began the pursuit of the middle way, which eventually led to his total enlightenment and his ascent to the level of Buddha. Jesus also spoke of the path of integration, in the Gospel of St. Thomas, from the Nag Hammadi codex. When asked by the disciples if they will enter the gates of heaven, Jesus said, When you make the two one - when you make the inside like the outside and outside the inside and the above like the down and when you make the male the female one in the same then shall you enter the kingdom. These are wise words and ideas from two great teachers thousands of years before the idea of dialectical reasoning and the psychotherapies of Freud, Jung, and Maslow. In essence, Buddha and Christ were depth psychologist before there times. These men, as well as many before them and after them, learned the keys to the total assimilation of all life experiences into a dynamic wholeness.

The Great Tao - "Wei Wu Wei"

One of the great religious traditions that reflect the integrative and holistic nature of transformation is Taoism. Taoism is a philosophy that gets to the root of our basic opposition to the world around us. With Taoism the dyad is ever present; the interplay of yin-yang is a constant within our lives and the universe around us. Everywhere we look, we see polarities: day-night, good-evil, male-female, light-dark, wave-particle; consequently, these polar opposites are always seeking to dance toward equilibrium. This is the Way of the Great Tao, to move effortlessly through the fractal collisions of yin and yang. The Taoists prescribe to a principle called, Wei Wu Wei, which means, do not doing. It is the way of the Taoist to play the part of non-interference. Many believe that this is the path of slough and laziness, yet most miss the point, when it comes to Wei Wu Wei. It isnt the lack of action or activity that the Taoist seeks; to the contrary, the Taoist seeks action while remaining detached from the experience. As the metaphysical axiom goes, Be in the world, but not of it. This is a very powerful philosophy to hold in ones mind, while cruising through the highways and byways of life, with its many twists and turns.

In the words of the great sage Lao Tze:

"The Way that can be experienced is not the true way; the world that can be constructed is not the true world. The Way manifests all that happens and may happen; the world represents all that exists and may exist.

To experience without intention is to sense the world; to experience with intention is to anticipate the world.

These two experiences are indistinguishable; their construction differs but their effect is the same.

Beyond the gate of experience flows the Way, Which is ever greater and more subtle than the world."

The occurrence of life in this universe is extremely improbable; it is nearly impossible according to scientists, yet here we exist and thrive. Also, our universe was formed upon a template, or blueprint, of sacred geometric relationships that can be found in everything from the formation of microorganisms to the constitution and orbit of planets within our solar system, as if some type of higher order lies behind all the randomness and disorder we witness. Is the fact that we are here, and the acknowledgement of sacred geometric relationships, such as the Golden Mean Ratio, evidence of some form of intelligent designer? Or possibly, is our universe and its' intricacies the result of cosmological evolution previous to our creation? These questions make for some very intriguing and awe inspiring contemplation of the universe and our place within it.

That our cosmos is the outcome of the ongoing evolution of a multiverse is precisely the point of Dr. Ervin Laszlo. In his book, "Science and the Akashic Field: An Integral Theory of Everything," he describes a unified field from which all of creation pours forth, a field that is holographically "informed" and "seeded" by the previous evolution of other universes. We are one among countless universes that form and exist within the ever becoming multiverse. This field of which Laszlo speaks is the "quantum vacuum." This is the field from which our universe springs forth, and to which it will return, when it ceases to exist. This "quantum vacuum" is what the ancients called the "Akashic Field," for all things that occur leave a permanent imprint in it and are immortalized; everything that occurs leaves its mark within the quantum vacuum, and that mark, or imprint, will holographically "inform" all subsequent universes. Consequently, the successes of the past will be brought into the present and seed new structures, such as the dynamics that rule the formation of life; hence, whatever progress we make in this universe will "inform" all later universes. He calls our cosmos the "Informed Universe," for the very reason that it is informed by this "quantum vacuum." This is somewhat similar to the principles of Dr. Rupert Sheldrake's morphogenetic resonance, both are using the holographic nature of reality to utilize and evolve existing structures. It begins to make perfect sense why things take the form and order they do, for they are just playing out what has successfully transpired previously. Consequently, the sacred geometric relationships that we witness in our reality are being formed within the eternal memory of the multiverse.

We all learned about Pi in school and how it relates to all circles, yet very few of us learned about the Fibonacci series and Phi, the golden section, and how it is found inherently in much of our creation. The Phi ratio can be found all throughout our reality, and it equates to 1.618. For instance, the spirals of segments that make up a nautilus shell are each 1.618 units bigger than the segment previous to it. Also, planets in our solar system exhibit a relationship to Phi, such as Saturn, which reveals a darker inner ring that shows the same golden section proportion as the brighter outer ring. Phi even governs the formation of bee colonies anywhere in the world, the female bee population being 1.618 units proportionally larger than the male population.

It is obvious that Phi and the Fibonacci series govern much of the material world, but I propose that a similar geometric relationship governs time and also our biological evolution. In fact, I believe much of our unseen and invisible creation is following a similar order. Chaos Theorists are correct when they say there is no such thing as pure chaos and randomness, and what we call chaos is really a higher order, an order we can only approach thru our mathematics. So, even though the naked eye sees randomness and chaos, there is really a higher mathematical order which pervades reality, and I think time is no exception.

Synchronicity is an occurrence of the way geometric relationships rule the happening of physical events and our thoughts. When we witness a synchronicity, things are falling into lock-step, in that our thoughts and the events around us are governed by the geometric dynamics of the moment. If my supposition is true, the evolution of the human species follows a similar geometric rule, and the paradigm shift that we are fast approaching makes perfect mathematical and geometric sense; a global paradigm shift is a necessary consequence of the evolution of a planetary species based on the geometric and mathematical propensities that comprise it. This is exactly what Dr. Carl Calleman is describing with the Mayan Creation Cycle. It is a map of the evolution of the universe and ultimately the human species. Furthermore, this has undoubtedly happened before in previous universes, and was then seeded into our universe through the quantum vacuum for it to occur again and successfully move life to the next level. Therefore, this should bring us all a bit of assurance in a time of volatility and an unforeseen future, for this is a tried and true process, which has happened countless times before. Therefore, everyone needs to relax and let the universe do what it was made to do, and let it impel us into a whole new reality. When fear and anxiety grip us as we think about our collective future, it must be remembered the move into 2012, the apex of our evolution, is undoubtedly a replication of a cycle that successfully actualized in a previous universe. We need to trust the universal intent!

Humankind has developed to the point where its technological evolution is going to become autonomous and progress by its own directive, that is, our technological momentum is about to make the leap from a linear progression to an exponential, multiplicative progression in the blink of an eye! This "Event Horizon" is called a "Technological Singularity" because all mathematical models utilized to predict our technological development break down at this moment, and they cease to give us a clear picture of what might lie beyond it. This moment will herald the liberation of consciousness from its current confinement and imprisonment in human biology, allowing us to utilize immense computational capacity far beyond the biological brain and to interact directly with computer sentience.

Actually, our technological development has been experiencing exponential growth for some time; however, at the beginning of any exponential growth curve, changes are very slight and nearly imperceptible, appearing very much like basic linear growth. Regardless of how slow this process starts off, as the rapidly expanding growth curve deepens, immense changes to the system become exceedingly apparent, and then it then strikingly and abruptly mutates.

Two technological fields will become the baseboard from which the "Technological Singularity" will spring, Strong Artificial Intelligence and Amplification of Human Intelligence. These two fields are currently thought to be the substratum from which a singularity will emerge. Although, neither one of these fields can be taken in isolation; for in all truth, the singularity will be caused by a cascading effect brought about by a rapid inflation of nanotechnology, strong a.i., self replicating machines, amplification of human intelligence, cyber technology, biotechnology, FTL-technology(faster then light tech), etc...

The near future promises to bring us things only dreamed of until now: a keen understanding of physical disorders and their cures; longevity of life, even immortality; unimaginable intelligence through advancement of our computational capacity and expanded memory; immersion in a 24/7 virtual reality, a "Matrix"-like experience, through non-invasive technologies projected right into your brain synapses; the manifestation of any desired object, with the use of clouds of nanotechnology bots that configure themselves to thought; the complete understanding and utilization of Faster Than Light Technologies, time machines and much, much more.

The concept of a technological singularity was first put forth by the mathematician Vernor Vinge in the 1980s, but it was further elucidated on by the inventor, futurist, and writer, Ray Kurzweil. His recent book, "The Singularity Is Near: When Humans Transcend Biology," is a very in depth look at what the singularity is and why it is a definite probability in our collective future.

I know most of you are saying to yourself, I thought this guy was all about 2012 and a spiritual-mental paradigm shift, which I am! However, I'm, definitely no psychic and can't say for certain exactly what the future holds. I do believe we are headed for a mental paradigm shift, and I also believe the fact we are fast approaching this Technological Singularity is evidence that mankind has reached the pinnacle and culmination point of human history. Current estimates place the singularity happening approximately 2020-2050. Even if no spiritual paradigm shift ever happened, we would still be on course with this technological singularity and could not avoid it. In fact, nothing can stop it, except all out global economic collapse or a planetary disaster.

This exponential growth is really a product of "Moore's Law" later extrapolated into Kurweil's own "Law of Accelerating Returns," both describe this unavoidable explosive inflation. Many people fear the advent of this Technological Singularity, thinking this could be the onset of the enslavement of humankind by machines. In fact, Vinge describes two groups that coalesce around this concept, the Luddites and the progressives. The term Luddites comes from an event where technology put a group of people, the Luddites, out of work. They, consequently, oppose the advent of this moment, where the progressives seek to actualize it. Many people have come forward to promulgate a need to confine Strong A.I. and not give it the tools it would need to bring about this Luddite nightmare scenario. This is a real possibility and needs to be taken into consideration as we design and implement A.I. However, I do not think we should live in fear and avoid the one thing that could make our life so much better! What it boils down to is, we will impart to our machines whatever tendencies we ourselves have. This is why I have stressed so strongly in my articles, it is vitally important we begin to treat each other with benevolence, for never before has our mentality had such far reaching consequences. We shouldn't fear our machines and project our own innate inadequacies on them; we should become a good example, as usually our parents are, and bring to light a Technological Singularity the progressives dream about not one the Luddites fear!

First of all, let me say, this article is not intended to condemn modern Christianity at all or evoke the ire of any of its participants. However, it is my belief modern Christianity suffers, like all old schools of thought, from the accumulation of error, past misinterpretation, and the promulgation of dogma. We think the orthodox theology we have today is the exact theology that Jesus Christ, Yeshua Christos, intended. This is a mistake in my view! A magnificent find in 1947 brought to light the Gnosticism that was being taught in all secret inner orders of the Western esoteric tradition, the finding of the Nag Hammadi Library. For me, Gnosticism has brought me back to a religion that I thought was wrong and had done many wrongs to many primitive peoples.

In my Gnostic research, it became evident that many of the things typical Christians take for granted may have never occurred in the way it is represented. At the council of Nicea, under the "pagan" emperor Constantine, many of the true gospels where thrown out, for they removed much of the power of the Roman Church over the people. With that teaching, people would not have to go to the church authorities to reach God. For instance, in the Naassene Sermon, a sermon purportedly to have come straight from Yeshua's mouth, he teaches of the immanence of God inside each and every one of us; all humans have God inside them, as it says in Genesis, for "God created man in his own image." Well, the early church couldn't have people running around thinking they had god inside them that would take away all their power; people must come to them to reach God! Not so! God made each and every one of us to experience a utopian heaven state, eventually here on earth, and nothing short of that; that is our birthright, and that is the point of all true esotericist, to bring heaven to Earth! We are to walk in the footsteps of Yeshua Messiah and Lady Mary Magdalene and become like them, bringing heaven to this plane. That was his point, but the church turned it into a system of control, guilt, and tyranny.

I was not present when all this went down, but if you really research the subject, it becomes obvious that Lady Mary Magdalene had a special place amongst Yeshua's crew, for she was the disciple of the disciples. I don't know is she was the wife or concubine of Jesus, but the documents we have would suggest such a situation. Having a wife or concubine does not detract from the importance of Yeshua's message one bit, not at all. In his time, it was unlawful to teach or preach in a synagogue unmarried, as he did. According to the Sophian Gnostics, Yeshua was the male embodiment of the Christos, the Logos, and Lady Mary Magdalene was the female embodiment of the Christos, Sophia. Sophia is the basis of the feminine mysteries and means "Wisdom." Together they would represent the male and female embodiments of Christ that way males have an exemplary model for their personality, and females also have a model and example of the female form of the Christos, for we all are to become the Christ and walk in his and her footsteps.

Lady Mary Magdalene was the disciple of disciples, for after the men had dispersed in fear, it was her that was the last disciple to leave Jesus, as he died on the cross, and she was the first disciple to witness him after he was placed in the tomb and ascended. She had more tenacity than all l the men disciples. She was the last to leave after the crucifixion, and she was the first to witness the risen Christ after the resurrection. Not to mention, in the Gospel of Thomas, found in the Nag Hammadi, which was discovered in Egypt in 1947, it states that the male disciples were jealous for they feared Jesus loved Mary more, "for he use to kiss her often on her ......", and the sentence cannot be completed because there is a whole in the original document. Just from what the traditional books of the bible tell us and the books of the Nag Hammadi, it becomes obvious there was a special relationship between Mary and Jesus. We will never know exactly what happened, for we were not there, but from the research it appears that the two were tied at a deeper level than was presented by the male oriented patriarchal church, which hated Mary and Jesus' relationship so much that they turned her into a prostitute as time went on. Despite how the whole encounter went down, I don't think the modern interpretation is even close to the true teachings Jesus was trying to deliver. Sure, a lot of the message got thru, but I do not believe the inner teachings of Jesus and Mary ever had a chance with a male oriented patriarchal church.

We all operate under the aegis of different archetypes. Archetypes were first brought to light through the work of Carl Gustav Jung; they are inherited ideas, patterns, and modes of thought, and are initiated and have existence through the experience of the human race, and they form in the morphic field of the collective unconscious. They are represented in the mind by certain universal symbols and are observed in dreams, life, and myths. They basically, bring wisdom, understanding and modes of behavior into the hustle and bustle of the work-a-day world.

There are many archetypes: the mother, the lover, the wise man, the hierophant, the Empress or feminine Venus power, the town fool, the seeker, the healer etc... So, we all use these archetypes from time to time to interact with what is going on around us. There is, however, an archetype that impels itself into the life of most shamans on the path, whether we like it or not. And it must be remembered, the presence of this archetype is only evoked when choosing to walk the shamanic path and reach enlightenment!

This elusive and prankster archetype is the "Trickster." He is the "Trickster" because he gives you the "Cosmic Giggle" and causes you to see the contrary nature of reality, how un-serious the world really is, thereby seeing the deeper mystery and subtler reality beneath it all. The Trickster is purely a shamanic archetype, and he is known to show how the world of normality and rationality is somewhat of a sham. The trickster will state the obvious in extreme sarcasm and satire; he will show you how taking yourself too seriously can be a detriment to your process of awakening. The archetypal trickster can always be known to show you the contrary nature of reality, in spite of your firmly held paradigms. He asks the question, "With all this war and turmoil over God and territory, aren't we all taking ourselves a bit too seriously?"

We've all gotten accustomed to listening to the rationale of cynical science, and we no more see the mystery that lies beneath all of existence. Sure, our scientists are right when it comes to the facts of nature, but they have a hard time accepting the existence of global consciousness, morphogenetic fields, holographic reality, even though these are part of their burgeoning science! Science is beginning to get a clue, and it is backing up what ancient cosmologies have said for years. For Instance, the Kabbalah says our universe sprang from a singularity called Kether, and now modern Cosmologists are saying the same thing, that our universe sprang from a singularity. Could it be that the human mind is too serious and has gotten it all wrong? The trickster is there to make you smile and point at the deep esoteric aspects of our reality that often get overlooked.

The "Trickster" is the voice of reason in a world which the Hopi call "Koyaanisqatsi," meaning "life out of balance!" I was introduced to the "Trickster" by my teacher Don Alejandro back in 1989, and he showed me how to derive my "Sacred Name" from the sound web that could be heard in the visionary experience. The name I derived was "Seshua," and it is the mystical name I use. This was a very eye opening experience, and something that has stayed with me through out the years. Some time later, I showed my best friend and business partner at Omega Point Institute, David Healy, the other shaman, the same technique for finding your name in the Sacred Sound Web and he derived "Sy." So Sy and Seshua still utilize the "Trickster" and "Cosmic Giggle" to this very day, and it has brought us both immense satisfaction.

The Trickster has played a large part in our awakening and has showed us the trap of science! The brain is not the source of sentience; consciousness utilizes the brain as a conduit, much like electricity through a wire. The Trickster is the source of "Synchronicity" and the uncanny moments of bizarreness. He brings a grin to your face, a realization of the "Cosmic Giggle!" I know we all lead hectic, busy lives; however, we need to find the time to just play and experience the "Cosmic Giggle"

This looming 2012 date could be very such a thing. Many people are predicting gloom, doom, and catastrophe, but it very well could be a moment of complete elation. From my research, and I'm no scientist, but thought is much more creative than we ever presumed. And to view this 2012 end date with fear and dread could very well be the self fulfilling prophecy we so much want to avoid. I know I may seem naïve, but I think the only way to avoid total cataclysm and catastrophe is to try to crystallize what we want out of reality. The Trickster has that mischievous grin for some reason; maybe he knows how it all turns out, for in actuality the "Trickster" is really the "Knower," the "Gnostic"!

The universe has been complexifying and increasing in novelty since its birth, crystallizing into the culmination point and pinnacle of universal evolution. It started out with an explosion of pure energy, the Big Bang. Over long eons that energy coalesced into matter, and that matter brought forth the constituent molecules that formed life. Like a lens, this evolving life focused reflective consciousness within ourselves, compelling us to study ourselves and the world in which we live. This evolving process appears to be progressing at an exponential rate and is leading to a crown of perfection. This moment has been designated by some scientists and philosophers as the Omega Point.

The term Omega Point was first coined by the French Jesuit Priest and Paleontologist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin and the Russian biogeologist, Vladimir Ivanovich Verdansky. Together, these two thinkers promulgated the ideation of the noosphere and the Omega Point utilizing the scientific method. This analysis sought to find a way around Einstein's second law of thermodynamics with its entropic, doom ridden Big Crunch. This event was also to bring a direction as well as an end point to Darwinian evolution.

It was their supposition that the biosphere in which we live would soon extrude an envelope of global thought, the noosphere. This was mid-twentieth century and long before the advent of the internet, which is apparently the hardwiring for the noosphere. As the crystallizing of the noosphere completes, the rapture of the Omega Point will occur. This experience is a divine eternal moment which will lift all of humanity to a higher plane of existence and bring us into a more intimate connection with Providence.

As unbelievable as this Omega Point might seem, our recent explosion toward a technological singularity is a glimmer of this monumental event. The technological singularity appears to be evidence of the flowering of the Omega Point within the long trek of human evolution and is a consequence of thousands of years of "striving for the unspeakable."

Just as Teilhard de Chardin has shown the Omega Point to be the pinnacle of evolution, other scholars have described the Mayan calendar as mapping evolution and leading to a similar culmination point. Could all this talk about a Mayan Calendar with a 2012 endpoint be describing the same process as Teilhard?

It's compelling to note that the ethno-botanist and shaman, Terence McKenna, unaware of the Mayan endpoint and during a deep shamanic trance, discovered a similar conclusion to our historical process. He intuited a model for his theory based on the 64 Hexagrams of the I-Ching, which he later developed into a computer program that delineated a timewave. This timewave mapped the ingression of novelty, or complexity, within space-time. When he fit the timewave to the historical continuum and anchored a novelty spike with the dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima, he found that reality reaches maximum novelty in late 2012! Another way of saying this is that human evolution reaches its pinnacle in 2012 and experiences an exponential leap into the unknown.

Neither of us know if this Omega Point will happen in 2012 or not, but our own experiences and later research has shown us that this Omega Point will be established within our lifetime; nevertheless, based on the research of many independent sources, 2012 looks very promising.

Utilizing system's theory and complexity theory, Ervin Laszlo has shown in his recent book, "Chaos Point," that in late 2012 we will reach a tipping point, a Chaos Point, where a bifurcation in the trek of humanity occurs; we reach a huge fork in the road and either go one of two ways. We either enter the path of stability, thereby enlightening a large portion of society and entering a Utopia. Or on the other hand, we could pick the path of destruction and decimation, accordingly creating a Dystopia. We, therefore, have many sources zeroing in on late 2012 as a time of radical and novel transformation.

As we transverse through time to this Omega Point, we will become aware of synchronicities happening more frequently. This phenomena is the universe's way of winking to the initiated and showing us how much our mind and matter are coherently linked. Additionally, it is the effect of this event occurring on the temporal landscape, the fourth dimension of time, sending back waves and reverberations into the past. As we get closer to it, these waves will become more pronounced and increase in occurrence.
It is our duty as human beings to ignite the flame within and awaken our God given power of formation, bringing heaven to earth and establishing the New Jerusalem. It is within our ability to "Imminentize the Eschaton" and draw the Omega Point into existence.

"The Elohim(of genesis) said let us create man in our image. Male and female they created them." Elohim is properly translated as "the gods." The image of the gods? What could this possibly mean? It is believed that the first chapter of Genesis depicts the creation of the entire universe, as explicated by the Kabbalah, by the one true creator god. When finished, the universe was complete, with wild life and hunter-gather humans populating the earth. However, the second and third chapter represents a further evolution of what God had created by a forced progression of the humans on Earth by "the gods." It is not a recap of the first chapter, as many orthodox Christians would have you ridiculously believe. It is a description of our further creation as modern civilized humanity by an extra-terrestrial race of advanced humans, an outside intervention in our evolution. They descended to our planet and created from the hunter-gather man roaming the Earth an entity in their own image, by placing their own DNA inside us, creating the known modern Homo Sapien Sapiens; they then, starting in 3000 B.C.E. focused on 6 key locations around the globe and taught mankind civilization and agriculture. And speaking of the Bible, who were the sons of God who found the daughters of men fair and bore the Nephilim by them? Sounds like an extra-terrestrial race to me! How could a numinous God mate with women? It would take physical beings to do that!

All these accounts are echoed in the Sumerian creation myth, the Enuma Elish, where it states that an extra-terrestrial race of advanced humans, the Annunaki, descended from the stars and created man from their own DNA and taught them all the different advanced
knowledge that the Sumerians are popularly known for having created for themselves. Although, the Sumerians never take personal credit for their advanced knowledge, but instead, they claim it was taught to them by the gods.

If one stops and ponders that starting about 3000 B.C.E. six cultures on a globe of hunter gathers, suddenly sprung up with an advanced understanding of mathematics, astronomy, agriculture and it's concomitant complex system of irrigation, the written word, arts and aesthetics, a system of laws, and a host of other advanced knowledge, then it becomes blatantly obvious that an outside agency of advanced extra-terrestrials intervened in our evolution and development in our distant past. How else could a race of hunter-gathers transform so quickly into the advanced civilizations that we know existed?

As I have said, this advanced race of humans lived among us and took us from hunter gathers to advanced agriculturalists in a very short period of time. As it says in the Bible, "we were cast from the garden to till the soil and toil with the sweat of our brow." Three of these cultures developed and cultivated four crops that we still use to this day to feed ourselves, corn, potatoes, rice, and wheat. Not to mention, many of these cultures have a geodesic placement of pyramids, ones that our current architecture cannot replicate
to this day, even with all our advanced technology.

It must be remembered that the primitive cultures of the world evolved according to the way Social Darwinists and anthropologist would expect, that is primitive hunter-gathers living in a very primal state. However, it cannot account for the explosive growth of the several advanced cultures that sprang up and built our first cities. This is extremely anomalous behavior and does not accord with what social Darwinist and anthropologists would dictate. In some remote areas of the world, we still have primitive tribes that live as hunter-gathers and have evolved just as anthropologists would have expected. So, what happened in those other select areas of the world?

Advanced systems of knowledge take years to form and come to fruition. So how did these cultures, such as the Sumerians, the Egyptians, the Olmecs, the Indus Valley inhabitants, the Mayans etc... gain their knowledge in such a short span of time? It is plain to see, an advanced race of extra-terrestrials taught these things to humans, and this is exactly what they claimed happened.

Realizing we have extra-terrestrial DNA and knowledge would explain the sudden rise to technological prominence we have attained in the last century and the beginning of this century. We have mapped the entire human genome and have a basic understanding of cloning; we have created a DNA computer, where a trillion of them can fit inside a test tube and perform billions of computations per second, and we have discovered the secrets of nuclear fusion and created nuclear weapons that can now destroy our entire planet. Not to mention, there are multitudes of other extra-terrestrial technologies we have invented. These facts make our enigmatic origins much more clear and concise.

The conspiracy theorists need to quit looking at the sky for any signs of E.T.s; they have already arrived and are all around us. In fact, they are us!

If someone were to ask you where the "I" you realize about yourself is centered in your body, you would undoubtedly say behind your eyes. Well, that of course makes sense because our brain is in our head, and this is the place from where our mind looks out upon the world. However, esoteric thinkers have thought for a long time that the pineal gland has many mystical qualities and is the place where the "I AM" consciousness of our soul enters our body. Rene Descartes is the one who first called this gland the "Seat of the Soul," but a general esoteric understanding of the head chakra being tied to divine wisdom goes back much further.

Two deep esoteric strands of thought both place the heaven world, the Nirvanic realm, within the head of man. The Kabbalistic middle pillar of the tree of life and the Hindu chakra system both place stacked energy centers along the spine culminating in the mystical energy center of the Head. Both systems show how the grosser material tendencies are subsumed in the more rarified higher centers of the head. These two systems can be utilized to facilitate a complete integration of the personality under the aegis of the higher self, as lower personality energies are sublimated into the higher centers of the head.

The pineal gland is a pea-sized gland located in the center of our brain, and although the pineal is not exposed to the outside world, the gland is photosensitive; one of its functions is to regulate our circadian rhythms, our internal natural clock, using light to govern the pineal gland's melatonin production.

It has also been discovered that the pineal gland secretes several very intense psychedelic compounds, notably DMT. Dr. Rick Strassman has discovered that this compound is excreted by the pineal gland in large amounts at birth and at death. It is thought that this substance is the center piece in people who have had near death experiences, abduction scenarios, out of body experiences, and mystical peak experiences, not to mention he found high concentrations in schizophrenic patients.

This seems to be evidence that when it is fully open, our pineal gland is indeed a gland in the perception of the great hologram of the universe surrounding us. It is the third eye that sees into the spirit realm, the hologram of the Zero Point field, the mind of God. This third eye, this pineal gland, can be activated and fully opened through deep meditative practices and trance work.

Remote location viewer's focus on the third eye in the head when attempting to sense and project into the etheric realm surrounding us - they seek to travel the holographic etheric image of reality. There is really nothing magickal about it; we have just evolved to a point where we can now utilize hyper-spatial techniques and travel the etheric hologram.

Some 2012 eschatologists besides me, such as Geoff Stray, propose that the pineal gland is a future organ of perception. It is currently in a latent phase of operability, but that can change with reversal of the geomagnetic field. It is believed by some that a magnetic pole reversal on earth could trigger a mass production of these molecules in people all over the globe, a molecular vehicle whereby one travels to a new dimension, an ascension to a new plane of being.

None of us know for certain what will happen in 2012; this is just wild eyed speculation. However, the next major wave of sunspot activity is set to occur in 2012. In addition, solar activity has been on the increase since records started being kept. And scientists recently stipulated the earth is hotter than it ever has been in 1 million years. Sure, the burning of fossil fuels is adding horribly to global warming, yet the real culprit in the mounting earth changes is the solar activity. Not to mention, there are many anomalous activities occurring all over our solar system caused by increased solar activity. A solar magnetic field reversal in 2012 during an extremely active cycle would undoubtedly cause a magnetic polar reversal here on Earth.

So, it is possible that all this hoopla about 2012 is intuitive foreknowledge of a radical geomagnetic field reversal that will cause us all to excrete large quantities of the spirit molecule DMT, thereby creating mass telepathy worldwide, the full crystallizing of the noosphere and dawning of the Omega Point.

I must state that I do not prescribe to a any certain set of circumstances for 2012, as I try to be open to any new interpretations about our future; however, there is strong scientific evidence that supports this hypothesis. The Kabbalistic Tree of Life is a speculative tool of exceedingly pertinent relevance to the nature of our reality and has been passed down to us from ancient, enlightened adepts of the past, master Kabbalists known as "Mekubals." This model of reality is invested with the knowledge of the specific way in which matter and energy come into existence, and it contains a map and diagram of the structure of the multiple-dimensionality of space-time, a structure that is strikingly similar to the theories of modern super-string theory. It is also an excellent map for describing and delineating the psychological makeup of man and the many levels of mind that comprise our being, stretching from the mind of God down to the individual human being. The ancients used the "Ot Chiim," the Tree of Life, to describe the process of creation and the immanence of the divinity within man. The tree made cognizant the processes whereby the Godhead limits itself and actualizes the material world, what is displayed on the Tree of Life as the bottom Sephira called Malcuth - "The Kingdom."

The Tree of Life is a diagram consisting of ten spheres plus an artificial eleventh sphere, Daath-Knowledge, created by mans ascent back to the Godhead, and it is also comprised of twenty two paths connecting each of the spheres, making a total of thirty two divine principles that relate to our entire existence. Each of the twenty two paths is associated with one of the twenty two letters of the Hebrew alphabet, and they are also related to one of the twenty two major arcana of the Tarot; the Tarot is the Kabbalah in picture form and holds many mysteries of the relationship of the archetypal forces of the tree of life. The Tree of Life consists of an arrangement of these Sephiroth, these spheres of divine attribution, in three columns or pillars. The pillar on the left is the pillar of severity, the pillar on the right is the pillar of mercy, and the middle pillar represents the soul to be initiated. This middle pillar is the synthesis of the Pillar of Mercy and the Pillar of severity with the Sephira in the center, Tiperath, becoming the center of the whole system. In the Christian Kabbalah this center sphere, Tiperath, represents the balance point between the infinitude of the Godhead and the actualization and solidification in the finite kingdom. The middle pillar also represents the central channel of the human body where subtle energies are manifested and sublimated into the higher center at the crown. This is similar to the kundalini force of eastern mysticism with its seven chakras; the world of spirit being actuated also in the head. The Left and Right hand pillars on each side of Tiperath are represented in every Freemasonic Lodge and in King Solomon's Temple. These pillars stand as sentinels through which the initiate must pass on his way to the spiritual kingdom, the initiate being symbolized by the middle pillar on the tree of life. These pillars are named Jachin and Boaz, meaning "Strength in God" and "God Will Establish" respectively.

This Otz Chiim, The Tree of Life, can be thought of as God's transformer whereby the mysteries and archetypes of the infinite mind of God are distilled, condensed, and actualized in the finite world. Additionally, it is the map through which man must navigate to reach the divinity that is his birthright; it is the ladder we use to climb back up to the divine source from our lowly place of descent and imprisonment in the density of matter.

Not only is the Tree of Life a device we utilize to gain oneness once more with the Godhead, but it is a precise model of the creation of the universe - space, matter, energy, and time. Most modern cosmologists and physicists acknowledge the fact that our universe started by an ignition within a singularity, the big bang. The Tree of Life, too, promulgates the notion that creation had its origins in a singularity of corresponding comport. According to the Kabbalah, the No-thingness of the Ain, a nothingness beyond the concept of nothing but containing infinite potentiality that is the source of the Godhead, crystallized and condensed into the singularity of Kether (meaning "The Crown,"our concept of God.) This singular sephira is of monumental significance, for it is the singular seed from which all of creation pours forth. In other words, the pure information of the potentiality of No-thingness emanated down to become the substantial world of matter we all exist within. During this emanation, ten consecutive dimensions were formed with an eleventh after the fact. Strangely, String theory stipulates that the universe is comprised of ten spatial dimensions and one dimension of time. So in essence, the Kabbalah knew the nature of our created world long before the scientific method of physicists was ever utilized.

The Kabbalah and its Tree of Life contain many of the truths of our existence, and they are revealed to any ardent seeker who speculates on its complex design. It would be wise for any seeker after truth to analyze and study the tree of life and see the manifold of truth laden correspondences it contains. A synchronicity is a very poignant moment when our own thoughts and personal histories meld into the physical reality surrounding us, giving us a glimpse into the divine machine of sacred geometric gears that rule the crystallization of time and the material universe in which we are bound. We have all had moments when the uncanny occurs, a momentary happenstance mimicking a fresh thought we have just had, a statement that has just been made, or the simultaneous occurrence of two or more meaningful events. Such moments are a little wink from divinity letting us know that our world is far from the meaningless universe that reductionism has presupposed and that there is a point to even the most abstract of events that occur within our lives

The Swiss psychoanalyst and psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung was the man who first coined the term synchronicity. He stipulated that a synchronicity was a meaningful coincidence, and it was, "an acausal connecting principle;" it was not the result of any space-time causation, and it seemed to defy our rationalized deductions about our universe. More simply put, it is the occurrence of two or more events beyond mere coincidence that are meaningful logically but completely inexplicable and seemingly unconnected.

Recently Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Lab has conducted a study suggesting that there is a small but quantifiable and statistically measurable link between human thought and patterns that are found to occur in random data sets. No evidence has been found to determine whether this is caused by people unwittingly recognizing these complex patterns and then shaping their thoughts toward an unconsciously known outcome, or if the thoughts of the studies individuals are in fact affecting the data sets themselves. However, recent conclusions of several preeminent scientists would stipulate that our minds do indeed affect reality. They concur that our physical reality is more of a group thought than a collection of substantial things, a hologram of compressed empty space shaped by our observation of it.

Furthermore, The Global Consciousness Project, also based at Princeton, theorizes that human consciousness influences objective reality by means that are still to be determined by current scientific methodologies. Using Random Number Generators scattered over the whole globe (computers programmed to spew forth a random string of digits) they found that patterns of numbers appeared at moments of mass global focus, events such as 911, the turning of the millennium, and the burial of Princess Diana.

These findings and studies would suggest that we have a far more influential role in determining our reality than we have been led to believe. This being the case, it makes it all the more essential that we approach reality in as positive a light as possible, for we want to create the most conducive and most beneficial environment as possible for ourselves and those around us. The old adage that we create our own reality is beginning to be proven true.

How many people have noticed the frequency and intensity of synchronicities being on the increase in the last few years? I believe this increase can be explained by the fact that we are getting closer to a cosmic doorway and rupture in space-time, an Omega Point. This Omega Point on the temporal landscape, the time-scape, creates motions and waves that travel back through time utilizing the medium of the ether. This ether is the quantum vacuum, the zero point field, or the Akashic field.

According to Einstein, time is an illusion, and everything that has ever existed or will exist is happening in the "Now" on the temporal landscape. Realizing this, an Omega Point or 2012 Eschaton would create waves that travel back through time and reach us, affecting the mind-matter connection we have all but forgotten exists. As we approach this Omega Point/Eschaton, these waves will become more pronounced and frequent, as the matter-mind connection is brought into higher cognizance when these delectable, synchronous moments present themselves.

Synchronicity seems to be a communication of our soul with our lower self, bringing events and people with significance into our lives, a significance that our lower self can apprehend. It is as if our minds temporarily falls into lock-step with the cosmos, and the mystery behind it all reveals itself for a moment. In addition, synchronicity has been known to occur around certain numbers. The number 23 has been noticed by many to be a number of synchronicity. Synchronistically, I was introduced to the notorious 23 skidoo when I was 23. I will give a link to an article I wrote on 23 skidoo below. I must state that just because synchronicity appears so incomprehensible doesn't mean it is always a good thing. It usually is a great thing, but it can also manifest, as you will see in my 23 article, at times of great dissatisfaction, such is life!!!

The structure of the universe is composed in such a way so as to form a finely tuned and conducive environment for the crystallization of sentient life. This is an extremely rare occurrence that cannot be easily dismissed as a product of random mutation. Any scientifically minded person will readily tell you that life in our universe is so improbable that it might as well be impossible, but the fact that I am here writing this article is proof we have overcome this immense improbability. So, is there a blueprint to our universe, and has this blueprint seeded our reality to bring us forth?

Indeed, there appears to be a wisdom and plan to space-time that has created a delicately harmonized environment, formulating the sustenance that all life needs; it is as if some field of intelligence has seeded and fabricated this rare set of circumstances out of the ether.


Several scholars have publicly speculated on these philosophical questions, notably scientists Ervin Laszlo and Bernard Haisch. Both of these individuals have breathed the mysterious breath of spirit back into the scientific and philosophical underpinnings of cosmology, giving us a much, more radical interpretation of why reality is the way it is. Physicists now know that the physical world we see about us, full of its substantial things, is really just a compressed field of empty space; the matter we see is a holographic crystallization of the Quantum Vacuum, the Zero Point Field. Some even argue that physical reality is more of a collective "thought" than an actual group of things. Some analysts contend that the paradigm shift we are now facing is a complete bifurcation in the way we work with and perceive that collective thought of reality, the way we deal with space, time, and material objects.

This Zero Point Field seems to be the mind of God, since this Vacuum,
according to physicists, is the substrate for known reality and has brought everything into existence. In fact, our universe and the way it operates is the expression of information seeded into the Zero Point Field by previous creations, for our universe is only one creative iteration of the Multiverse that left its imprint of success in the Zero Point Field, thereby seeding our universe for a further evolution of that success.

The first scripture in Genesis where God creates light before even the sun, the source of light, now makes much more scientific sense, because the Zero Point Field is a sea of imperceptible light in which our finite world of matter floats; it is the light from which all things come into existence in finite reality and into which they return when they complete their cycle of existence. This light sounds nearly identical to the Ain Soph Aur, the light of the Kabbalists that precedes creation and from which their "Tree of Life" manifests.

Everything we do or say leaves a permanent imprint on the Zero Point Field, a residual inference pattern on the holographic fabric of reality. This explains how and why paranormal abilities, such as psychic powers, work so well; the psychic has learned how to tune into the information of the Zero Point Field, both the past and the future. In any non-local field, like the Quantum Vacuum, past and future are illusions, and everything is happening in the now of the eternal.

This information makes the idea of Karma and Jesus' words, "As you sow, so shall you reap" all the more relevant, for everything we do leaves a permanent imprint on the Quantum Vacuum and will continue to effect reality going forward. Consequently, cleaning up one's karma and leading a cleaner existence would in essence be attempting to lessen any negative swirl you put into the ethers and trying to rectify any negativity you added to our shared global experience. When you stop and think about how permanent our actions and words are, it makes one realize how eternal the strokes of our paintbrush are to the canvas of life.

This also explains why the love and wisdom one feels from the divine seems so eternal, for it is. It goes back universe after universe to the very beginning, if there was a beginning. Many orthodox theologians claim that God does not evolve, for he is pure perfection, and maybe they are right. Nevertheless, the universes that come forth from the Zero Point Field are evolving and imprinting their own successes back on to that very field, so in a way the divine mind of creation, God, is evolving. Therefore, this is not the only reality that has ever existed; it is merely one universe among countless spawned from the eternal Multiverse that imprints all information on the Quantum Vacuum, the Zero Point Field, the Mind of God.

Among those who see possible radical evolutions in the near human future, there are those who view the coming changes as a big win for human engineering and there are those who see it as a gnosis, as the achievement of a sort of religious divinity.

"I mainly utilize chaos magick."

Like Daniel Pinchbeck in our last issue, Jonathan Bethel's views fall within the latter category.

Jonathan Bethel is the Director of the Omega Point Institute, a futurist think tank, consciousness research group, center for spiritual studies, and singularity watch group that studies the relationship between human consciousness and the accelerating trends within science, technology and culture. In a word, Jonathan is a singularitarian. His shamanic name is Seshua. He currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia where he is recovering from an automobile accident that broke his nose, right ankle, his right shoulder, and all of the ribs on his right side, collapsed his lung, and put him into a coma for just over a month.

NEOFILES: We have had some lively discussions with advocates of transhumanism, revolving around technology, humanist philosophy, politics ...yet you are only the second person that we've spoken to who seems to advocate these expansions of human attributes as a spiritual or religious path. Do you think your vision is isolated, or are there more people out there thinking along these lines? And explain a little bit about how you see the techno-scientific alteration of humanity as a spiritual process.

JONATHAN BETHEL: Searching the World Wide Web, I have not yet encountered other individuals with a similar perspective. Although, I figure they must exist, on a planet with 6.5 billion people. As we approach this ultra-novel event, it will begin to take on spiritual and religious qualities for people. A lot of the talk about the Age of Aquarius and a "new age" of spirituality has to do with the realization of the divine man within. I believe you will begin to see groups gather around the concept of this awakening.  

 

A lot of our religious material, especially prophecy, has to do with the awakening of super-humanity at a specific time in the future. If a technological singularity is really going to occur, then it has always existed on the temporal landscape; it has always been accessible to any shaman who is able to alter his or her consciousness and view the time continuum. This is exactly what John of the Island of Patmos saw prior to scribing the Book of Revelations. We can look on it as a new heaven and a new earth, or as the idea of a New Jerusalem. I think all the talk about the second coming is about the realization of the transhumanist man. Also, Aleister Crowley's concept of the Age of Horus depicts this current environment, as in "The unveiling of the company of heaven" and "Every man and woman is a star." This has yet to occur, but if the singularity happens, our own divine natures will be revealed. In "Keys of Enoch," J.J. Hurtak describes the release of material man into a whole new reality, a fundamentally spiritual event. Also, Nietzsche foresaw the realization of the Übermensch, or super-human. It is obvious to me that we have been glimpsing this attractor for some time. Of course, I can't imagine what great minds will achieve with nanotechnology, faster-than-light technology, robotics, or super chemistry.

Will history end when the Mayan calendar ends, in the year 2012?

Science is also skirting the edges of the twilight zone; a unified field theory appears to be within our grasps. There is even a doctor experimenting with a time machine capable of sending particles back in time. And then there is our genetic understanding, such as the human genome project and cloning.

As we approach the singularity, I foresee a shared reality transmitted through a virtual reality type of technology, with all participants, likely through a wireless linkup, experiencing the inside of a Matrix, where everyone can participate in ongoing ritual and worship.

NF: You're site has some materials on the 2012 idea. This meme has been spread by Terence McKenna and by Jose Arguelles that humanity will go through a radical transformation, a sort of singularity, in that year. The notion is based on the Mayan calendar, McKenna came to believe this as the result of a long psilocybin mushroom experience. With all due respect to psychedelic visioning, why should we believe or even consider this? What is the epistemological evidence for believing this?

JB: It is strange that when Terence McKenna arrived at his date, he was unaware of the Mayan connection. Like McKenna, I believe that psychedelics allow us to see multi-dimensionally. So the fact that he distilled his Timewave from a shamanic psychedelic experience doesn't detract from it at all. Society finds all this suspect because it has rejected shamanism. Personally, I've had two visions involving the singularity - popularly called the rapture - utilizing deep shamanic trances. These types of experiences will never make it into textbooks and they are obtained by unorthodox means. That should not negate them. 
 

Aside from that and the acceleration of science and technology, there is no evidence to support this end date, and I don't think we should expect too much. The date makes me think of a cosmic alarm clock; just because it's ringing doesn't mean you're going to get out of bed right away. As Terence was known for saying; all this requires "a hard swallow."

NF: You show some attraction to Rupert Sheldrake's theory of morphic resonance? What would you cite as the evidence for this theory?

JB: There are several points of evidence that suggest Sheldrake's theory. One point is the formation of schools of fish and flocks of birds. It is amazing to watch the formation and movement of these entities. The overall movement of each seems to indicate they are tied to one field. There appears to be some form of order behind all the random behavior. Sometimes during a heightened state of mind, one can almost merge with these morphic fields and get into mental sync with the flock. It is obvious to me that the world is structured around hive minds. I believe everything in our universe, even apparent randomness, follows some sort of higher order. Synchronicity exemplifies this order.

There is also the strange awareness of homing pigeons; they have that uncanny ability to find their way home from just about anywhere. It is equally odd that a dog can travel vast distances to find its way home. In addition, it is also known that pets get restless and anxious when their owner's are very close to home. In my opinion, this is evidence to suggest that some animals perceive hyper-dimensionally.

On a human level, the silence that falls over a crowded room seems to be an instance of morphic resonance. It is as if some form of group intelligence hushed the whole room simultaneously. It is very telling that we say, "Will you get off of my wavelength" when someone says what we are thinking. I think we have an innate understanding of all this; unfortunately, we seems to have lost our true connections to it somewhere in our past.

One of the main criticism of the morphic theory is that there is no medium upon which information can resonate. This is a reductionist criticism that ignores the quantum inseparability principle - information can travel vast distances instantaneously.

NF: Could you describe a bit more your shamanic experiences in seeing a coming singularity? What was the methodology and tell us more about what you saw?

JB:I smile mischievously! I must say, I really don't want the public getting the wrong idea about me, especially about shamanic power plants. So, I'm a bit hesitant. I'm sure you will handle the description in an intelligent and gentle manner.

These two experiences of the omega point/singularity were the exception, not the rule.

Most people knew me as Seshua, the shaman. Shamanism was always a very important part of my worldview. I would describe myself magickally as a Thelemic-Shaman-Kabbalist. I mainly utilize chaos magick. For 18 years, I have been into any method that brings on a deep trance state. For me, these included: meditation, pranayama, sleep deprivation, sex magick, hypnosis, concentration, brain-wave synchronization - otherwise known as light-sound goggles, etc. ... In my opinion, the most powerful catalyst that brings on paranormal effects is the various shamanic power plants. They create the elixir par excellence!

These two incidents go back a bit in time. The first happened in June 1996. I was still dating Neysa Wentworth. We decided to go camping and enter into the archaic mode of mind. Timothy Leary had died about a week before. I took my shamanic drum and my Tibetan bowl to the campsite. After we set it all up, I gathered some of the shamanic power plants in that area and prepared them. I began drumming and chanting, As ego death progressed, I talked to Neysa about Timothy Leary, immortality, and Osiris. As I told her, I could feel and sense information fields coming together and coalescing. I heard the familiar crumpling sound in my head. Then I heard some sort of blast, an auditory hallucination that sounded like a concussion. All of a sudden, I was inserted into a pure field of gnosis. I then uttered, "We don't really die!" I could actually hear Timothy Leary chuckling in my head.

This gnosis was beyond anything I had ever experienced. I had the unmistakable sense that mankind was evolving toward an elevated plane, and I was getting a preview of that development. It was as if I was part of a future rapture. This is before I ever researched the omega point or the technological singularity, although I was aware of Terence McKenna's notion of infinite novelty in 2012. I kept telling my revelations to Neysa. I would tell her that we needed to wake up from the primordial sleep that has grabbed all of humanity. I told her most humans were walking around totally asleep. I realized and understood how death was conquered utilizing genetics, super-chemistry, nanotechnology, cloning, and the uploading of human consciousness to computers. It was as if the universe was communicating directly to my soul. Its main points were that humans could overcome death and they would arrive at divinity. I had the sense that we were to be connected to everyone we ever cared for, like a cosmic instant messenger ... I contemplated how mathematics was to reveal it all, especially the dawning of a unified field theory ... I understood how we were just holographic projections into a 3rd dimensional manifold. I even spouted off some formulas in my mania. The best way to describe it is to call it an understanding. This seemed to be something I knew in a very close way, a gnosis.

I couldn't maintain the trance; it was too much for me to process, and I lost lucidity. I came to about an hour and a half later. I was left realizing that I had witnessed something truly magnanimous. I firmly felt as if I had witnessed a future moment of transcendence and graduation for myself and the whole of humanity. It was as if we were lifted to a new order of being. I began studying and researching fervently. In my research, I came across Vernor Vinge and his concept of the singularity. Mathematical probabilities now described what I witnessed. This deep trance allowed me to be aware of the future evolution of mankind. I believe Tielhard was right when he says that evolution is destined to arrive at an omega point. I concluded that this singularity or omega point is ingrained into the genetic archives of humanity. It is a dwell point and strange attractor that has existed on the temporal landscape the whole time. Any shaman can voyage through this genetic archive/morphic field/temporal landscape. They can travel either forward or backward thru time. The journey does not always happen in a controlled fashion; many times the shaman gets taken on a random ride into the unknown and sees a variety of evolutionary content.

I have been present when an atavism from the past wells up and takes over a group's perceptions. It is like a template is overlaid over reality, and the perceptions are all filtered through that paradigm. I remember when a whole group of individuals I was a part of saw suckers and aquatic features in everyone present. I also remember the time that we all saw the various forms of vegetation exhibiting their own communication dishes, a cone-like extension that seemed to be a part of the vegetation. If the genetic archives can show you things from our evolutionary past and other possible outcomes to evolution, why couldn't it also bring you information about our future?

I had several more shamanic voyages into the fractal frontiers, yet I never achieved the same gnosis as I did in June of 1996. Then, on Halloween 1998, my then girlfriend and I gathered at her sister's house. We prepared the shamanic plants to everyone's liking. It worked very well, and things got very strange. Then it happened! Again, I heard a sound go off in my head, like a concussion. I was launched into divine gnosis. I understood that we would achieve divine status. I had the repeat impression that we were undoubtedly going to conquer death. I felt very divine and all the anxiety about my life drained from my body. I told everyone sitting around us about my revelations. They just thought I had lost my marbles. I said, "No, really! We will overcome death in the next century. Nothing can stop it .... We are all baby gods waiting for our divine nature. That is the reason for our existence." I then explained a bit about the 8 circuits of consciousness, and how I was receiving information from the 7th and 8th circuits. I was having trans-time and quantum/atomic experiences, a realization of the Adam Kadmon, the archetypal man. The gnosis lasted several hours and it faded away. It was a much more enjoyable experience than my previous trip to the singularity.

These two experiences were so profound that they have changed my perceptions forever. Since that time, I have become an avid futurist and transhumanist.

NF: In our interview with Max More, he said: "I have seen attempts, past and present, to infuse religious elements into transhumanism. If that means introducing claims that are, in principal, impossible to refute by logic and experience, then I continue to maintain that they conflict with the foundations of transhumanism. Any worldview that results from that mixture is a memetic monster."

JB: I both agree and disagree with Max More. I believe most religions contain some reflection of the coming of transhumanism in their utopian aspects. The dogma and control of today's world religions mixed with transhumanism could be a memetic monster. Transhumanism will have a strange impact on our perceptions and awareness; consequently, I can imagine post-singularity technologies married to a current religious ideology becoming a very destructive viral meme. If we are stuck with the guilt-based control built into many of today's religions, a merging could breed a meme of control, hysteria, and tyranny. However, one cannot plummet the imperium of the imagination without bringing back some token of magick and divine thinking. Through the form of the transhumanist human, we will be capable of manifesting materially whatever we are experiencing mentally. So it's very difficult for me to separate a superhuman from a godlike human. From a human perspective, they both appear to involve the impossible.
